Who cares? Why is this news on TMZ?

Like @soulofanangel says in the comments above...

A man went to work in a foreign country and an accident happened. The U.S. media goes crazy.
A man goes to work in the United States of America and an accident happens (happens daily) and NO ONE CARES.

This worker is getting interest because he is humble (lives in absolute poverty) and isn't suing, on drugs, causing scandels and still maintains a sense of life and humor. Please cover this motivational story so more Americans can get off their arse and start to contribute to something again as he goes to Graceland and Vegas. If Edison can do it, all of can.

He's probably a drug runner I hoped they checked his luggage for Cocaine. Now he will miss his plane and become just another illegal alien.

NOW HERES A GUY who deserves to make millions from BRAVO TV. Not the usual egotistical, worthless, shallow (c*m-sucking) whores who get Andy Cohen's attention.

Go Peña!!! All I can say is that those 32 miners (one was a foreigner) taught the whole world a lesson in survival, faith, good disposition and fraternity. I wonder if the indigent miners of PA, W Virginia, and other places could/would of done the same. Somehow I doubt it. Fortunately, the Chilean gov't has the resources and whatever they lacked they paid for it. That whole country was behind their own people, 24/7, heck, as soon as the Chilean engineers caved that hole, the Chilean people sent all kinds of stuff down, i.e. food, water, ipods, t.v., flags, magazines, everything they requested. I have met many Chileans and I can tell you they are all the same as those 32, resilient, self sufficient, they hate begging, they are proud. Good people and best employees.

Ouch--I deserve the wrath for not adding correctly. However, to runningmom, the comment about his name was because the original post by TMZ had him listed as "Edwin" instead of Edison. Had nothing to do with the first comment. TMZ has now changed the post to reflect the correct name.

I want to know how he trained for this. Training for a marathon takes a year for most people. Amazing! Did he run in place for hours? Was there a treadmill down there? Wow!!!

5:50 is not anything to be proud of. He actually did not run a marathon, he covered the distance but a lot of it was at a walk. I don't care if he was trapped in a mine. He should not have been allowed to run/walk the marathon that is a slap in the face to everyone that has worked their butts off to actually run it. If you are running a marathon run it.
