NFLer Drops Game-Winning Touchdown, Blames God

11/29/2010 7:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Buffalo Bills WR Steve Johnson dropped what would have been the game-winning touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers today in overtime -- but it wasn't his fault he choked, it was God's.

The Steelers ended up winning the game 19-16 ... but we think Steve Johnson has bigger problems on his hands.

Stevie is an emotional guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. There's not a person on Earth who hasn't said something similar out of frustration so anyone bashing him for this really needs to do some self-reflection and get a clue.

What is it with Johnson's and Buffalo, they always come up short. Mr. Johnson, all you had to do was look the ball into your hands and hold it. Looking at the replay it's obvious you looked away before you had control, your fault not Gods. Do your job, it's what you get paid for. You were probably thinking about how you were going to celebrate and put on a show for the fans. What a pitiful display!!!

Give him a break you low life idiots who surf TMZ to read all about those that live better lives than you. Steve Johnson is a great person on and off the field and always has been. Has more faith in God than anybody i know and that tweet proves it. he had a devastating moment and posted that in the heat of the moment. Im sure you've blamed God for something stupid before, too bad the whole world couldnt see it. Give him a break. Geez.

Hopefully this will teach Steve that if there is a God, he or she does not give a crap if you catch a ball or not.

Science has PROVEN time and time again that there is NO god.

Why so serious? Can't you all take a joke?
You all also need to stop trying to correct twitter grammar and slang. This thread is full of drivel like this from petester: "Why don't you blame God for your deficit skills regarding the English language and then blame yourself for having butter fingers"

I believe the word you're looking for is deficient. One has deficient skills. It is an adjective. One does not have deficit (a noun) skills (a noun).

It really cracks me up how some people "rely" on some nonexistent mystical force to gain some degree of power. Science has PROVEN that prayer DOESN'T work; prayer is merely a crutch that enables the weak-kneed, in a time of crisis, to release their anxieties by placing the burden upon a make believe supernatural being. Get it: there is NO god or gods, NO devils and NO angles; there is NO heaven or hell. The only world we'll ever know is the one we experience in the here and now.

Hey Kid. Wake up from the dream of religion and it will all make sense & you can take responsibility for your own actions. Accept that there is no god and everything falls into place.

Besides having the worst paid professional sports job in this country the fact that he earns millions while biatching about screwing up to an invisible person is proof men gossip worse than women and they are really stupid and that the new tweet thing is to make additional money.Did that invisible person sign the contract based on his ability to play ball?

If "God" can take credit he can also take blame.

God did not make you drop the ball, the devil did. God answers all prayer....sometimes the answer is no.
