Wesley Snipes -- One Week 'Til Prison

There are sitting congressman and senators NOT SERVING TIME FOR TAX EVASION. On top of that, Wesley Snipes' former financial manager was actually indicted and arrested for EMBEZZLEMENT AND TAX EVASION!!! HELLO, McFLY...This is the basis of Wesley Snipes' frantic APPEALS!!! His professional money manager was tried and convicted because he misappropriated and mishandled HIS CLIENTS FUNDS--ONE OF WHOM WAS WESLEY! Yet the judge refuses to hear his appeal! This is simply a matter of punishing a Black man for being successful. Don't agree? How many wealthy Black athletes and businessmen have served time for the same crimes White men laugh off at the country club while playing a round of golf with the judge? Snipes is being PERSECUTED not PROSECUTED.

Wesley Snipes broke the law, he was convicted and sentenced for willful failure to file income tax returns for 5 years. Did he forget?This was the largest and most important tax case in decades. It would have been easy for him to pay the taxes he owed, on a multi-million dollar income, but he chose not to comply with the law. The IRS loves high profile cases like this, It's free advertising for them! For those on here who think he shouldn't go to jail, and just pay the taxes now, it doesn't work that way. Wesley Snipes put himself in this ridiculous situation, it's hard to have sympathy for him now.

Wesley Snipes would have probably paid off the disputed tax debt by now if would have "negotiated" a settlement with the IRS rather than insisting that he didn't owe them any money. He's been going "back and forth" with them about this matter for years. He gambled and lost. Unfortunately, he's gone as far as he can with this dispute and has to serve his sentence. I wish him the best of luck.

i feel bad for him..i really don't think he was purposefully(sp?) evading his taxes, I really think it is possible for people as rich and successful as he is to not really know what his peeps are doing..anyway i could be wrong...

I know one person not sad to see him serve time....Halle Berry. She said years ago that a boyfriend hit her so hard that she doesn't have hearing in one ear...it all pointed to Snipes. The time she dated him, the movie she was working on and the year. Although she didn't name him...

Maybe it wasn't him, but all signs pointed to it according to the papers at the time.

Funny how Tim Geithner, Charlie Rangle, Sebelius, and all the rest of the govt don't even get a slap on the wrist for their tax evasion, and instead, get appointed or re-elected to some of the highest offices in the land. This guy gets the book thrown at him. Guess even in Hollywood, once in a great while, they are still the little people like the rest of us and take it in the shorts. They ought to be checking into how Google manages to evade their offshore taxes right under the govt nose. but then, Google, GE and a few others are Obama's pets.

I'ts very sad to see someone with so much money have so little sence. you can argue the tax game until your blue in the face. The fact is, I have no money and I have to pay my taxes. The more money you have the more time their going to give you. And if your Black and always date white and or any other Race Beside your own, they add my time to your sentence. Total time for Tax evasion two months. Total time for dating White woman two years Ten Months. And their you have it.

you Americans need to update your criminal code! Do you also put people in prison for parking tickets?......PRISON IS FOR BAD MEN AND WOMEN, not for people that owe money! It is comedic how your authorities flex their power so arrogantly....why do you put up with it?...Just goes to prove, that in America, Money comes before sanity! When will the insanity stop?
