RIP Elizabeth. Your daughter's eulogy was so beautiful and heartfelt, quite a testament to you and your grace.

John (that pig) should never have been allowed to attend the services. His kids will do just fine without him. He was not there when he was with that videographer pig/homewrecker. they don't need his fake caring now

Wise John Edwards who didn't open his mouth at all today. Someone gave him good advice. Take care of your children, John. Maybe by doing that, you can make up for the way you treated Elizabeth. Often, when I think of how low a human being can go, I think of John Edwards. She deserved better. Elizabeth, you picked the wrong man.

Elizabeth was a wonderful lady. It's sad she had such a s*** bag for a husband. I am so sorry that her kids are left without their Mom and that John is left free to do with them as he pleases. Rest in eternal peace Elizabeth! May your children find happiness and may their grief soon be easier to bear.

Good lord. Some of you are just beyond the pale. Hopefully age and life experience leaves you less judgmental when you discover that people are - shock - not perfect. It rarely means that you are a horrible person - just that you make mistakes, that you are capable of hurting people you do care about. The man cheated after a very long marriage - almost 30 years. He regretted it and came clean to his wife who forgave him and reconciled. Obviously he is as guilty as his "partner in crime" but I'm pretty sure she deliberately got pregnant and THAT is even worse and more selfish to me.
Long term marriages are odd creations. They can weather all kinds of storms and they are really nobody else's business to condemn or praise.

Hopefully Elizabeth's legacy will live on forever. We all can learn much from her. She went through many tragedies in life. Some of you that are tearing John apart with your posts - Do you think that she would want this? Is the timing right for this??? Would she want her children to potentially read this so soon after her death? Yes she was initally angry about the situation - but she moved on. Yes, what he did was obviously very wrong - this situation was between Elizabeth and John. I look forward to learning more from Elizabeth and hope that I can be half the person she was.
