I've never understood why some famous or not famous people that get in trouble with the IRS they pay it back with interest or settle it, not go to prison. Maybe I just don't understand the case that much and not saying its a race card issue it just seems he was aggressively charged? I don't know how to say it just they really went after him with a vengeance. People do less time for attempted murder/ rape...hope he does get out early.

You do the crime.......you do the time. About time some of these so called stars ie above the rest of us common people have to step up to the plate and account for themselves.

Its not sad at all.. a Multi-millionaire decided he didnt need to pay tax dollars when there are so many in need of help. he might be sad he got busted, but he made the decision, so he can deal with the consequences. Now he is being imprisoned by the tax dollars he didnt pay.. its not sad, its ironic (and kinda funny!!)

How fair is it when the System prosecutes you and the Judge for the system determines your guilt and punishment. That is bias and unfair as are most of the laws today. This is bull***t. Yet it happens everyday. We are all just an accusation away from being abused and prosecuted by the system. It is not "We the people".

Wesley has been paid millions of dollars for his movie roles and for some strange reason he thinks he is above the law and need NOT pay income taxes. Tax cheats are just thieves and Wesley is a HUGE thief. Thieves belong in prison. Wesley is right where he should be.

...lol...at least he didn't kill anybody! I love this cat. He's one of the coolest actors around. Besides, whats a little tax evasion anyways? By the time the fat cats in Washington finish taking their cut, there really isn't much left over anyways. And we certainly don't see those guys going to prison.

He's a strong willed dude. Eventually he will get out and then he can start over. If the feds would have let him continue working he probably could have paid them off, not that they deserve it but really, he could have settled the debt. (K)

...lol...I didn't know he refused to pay...lol...I finished reading the deposition. That's another ball game entirely. I can see why they made an example of him now. I still dig the dude though. I had a friend do some time for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He told me the feds never reduce your sentence but he actually got to come back home one year early for good behavior. He finished the rest of his sentence in a local facility.

Maybe that will be in the cards for Mr. Snipes. You never know. But you gotta hand it to him for having the balls to tell the feds where to go...lol...balls...audacity...whatever, He's a damn good actor. (K)
