NFL Fines Brett Favre

$50,000 in Sexting Scandal

12/29/2010 4:34 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The NFL has fined Brett Favre $50,000 for "failing to cooperate" with the league's investigation into his sexting scandal involving former NY Jets employee Jenn Sterger.

Brett Favre Fined for Sexting
The league noted Commish Roger Goodell "could not conclude" if Favre violated the league's personal conduct policy based on the evidence he had seen.

The NFL released a statement saying, "The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger."

The league continued, "The review found no evidence to contradict the statements of both Favre and Sterger that they never met in person, nor was there anything to suggest that Sterger engaged in any inappropriate conduct."

The NFL claims it also looked into reports that Favre put the moves on two massage therapists who worked at the Jets' facility in 2008 -- but the investigation hit a dead end because people with "potentially relevant information" refused to cooperate with investigators.

Hetero men have so much trouble with their wieners! Gay men have more freedom to find satisfaction.
Last year we saw many hetero men being led by their hm-hms. If only they would lighten up on the rules set by RELIGIONS, maybe they'd have better relationships.

A better fine would have been to take away his sexting privligaes for a month. Wow, like $50gs his going to hurt! A married man sending pictures of his weenie to another woman, imagaine that?

I'd fight this because they're basically saying they can't prove he did anything wrong, and even though the NFL isn't a coiurt of law, they shyuldn't be getting $50K if they can't prove guilt. Of course, it's probably worth $50K to Brett to make this go away.

1. Why did it take 2 years for her to come forward. 2. If she didn't like the photos than just delete them and block his number. Jeez, grow up...every little transgression / dumb idiotic thing does not deserve a payday for every fame-whore around.

Does this gal not know how to delete a message and then block further messages?? That's all it takes. . . unless you are just out looking to make further issues of the whole thing. Personally, I'm tired of hearing about it. Grow up!

Really?

This is absolutely ridiculous. Favre shouldn't be fined! She just seemed to want her 15 minutes of fame like the Tiger Woods women. If she was so distraught over this then why did it take her two years to come forward??

Wow! A professional football player treating a woman like a piece of meat at work and nothing happens to him... what a shock! The fine is for his lack of cooperation with the investigation, not for how he treated the woman. I hope she posts the messages and pictures all over the internet to humiliate the old sexist little nub of a man. At least his wife would be able to see for herself if the nub was her husband's.

The NFL released a statement saying, "The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger." OKAY - first of all what is forensic analysis of a pee-pee? Secondly, how about a pee-pee lineup? The NFL is loopier than I suspected..........
