'This Is It' Producer: I Didn't Cause Michael's Death

Janet and Katherine both have said on televised interviews that the family attempted interventions to try to get MJ to stop using prescription drugs.

From Taraborelli's book, which I haven't read and can't recommend or not:

I wish people would get used to the idea that Michael Jackson probably did commit suicide.
His choreographer testified that Michael's rehearsals were way under-par, and that he seemed depressed.
He was facing a big performance tour; with the eyes of the young world upon him. And he probably felt ugly. He knew he had to give-his-all for the upcoming performance; and he probably didn't have anything to give, and knew it.
And it was cowardly to be so concerned that he not be remembered as suicidal, not leaving a note; thus NOT CARING whether blame for his death fell on another.
Mr. God of Cool had feet of clay, and he buried them.

The only people who truly cared about Michael Jackson were his children.

@Jim Kendall...you are truly mistaken, Travis Payne DID NOT testify in court it was Kenny Ortega that testified and he did not say those things. This is what ticks me off, people speaking on subjects they know nothing about. Get your facts straight before you make a comment.

I agree, Ken Ortega needs to be removed as a defendant, it's Dr. Killer who needs to be ripped a new one

This family has NO shame....

Also, people generally do not take propofol for fun or because they are "addicted" to it. There is no "high" from it. You take it and you pass out. If ANYTHING, Michael wanted to sleep. Not get high.

You make a very good point here.

Of any involved in this, this producer Kenny Ortega needed Jackson to manage to do a wonderful show, or no one would ever see his work. He was concentrating on dancing, singing, costumes, and he was too busy doing his job. How insane to sue him! AEG hired and pushed Murray to make Jackson drug free enough to manage to make them money. Murray instead of concentrating on his job at hand, he was too busy trying to suck up all the glory/power he could get out of it(on the phone with a gf, instead of actually monitoring MJ).

Kenny Ortega tried to look out for MJ but was scolded by Murray. Murray could care less about MJ's health. All he could think about is the paycheck. Kenny's name should be taken off the lawsuit and Tohme Tohme's name put on. He was the one who convinced MJ to do the THIS IS IT tour in the first place.

Michael was murdered and that's why we should care and have great compassion for his passing and his most barbaric death.

If it can happen to Michael it can happen to anyone of us. Murder is never acceptable.....we have a duty of care to each other...we are our brother's keepers.

It is reported that Michael needed the drug Propofol to sleep. Obviously he had heard about this drug from some medical person. Any medical person who would administer (not prescribe) this drug is negligent and complicit in the death of Michael. Just to administer the drug to Michael such as Conrad Murray did is so sub-human and reduces Michael's integrity to non-existent.

Conrad Murray should have acted as a professional doctor and tried to get Michael some sleep treatment, which can be very effective without the use of drugs. His negligence in not doing so builds the case for his not really having his patient's best interest at heart. So if he had ulterior motives for administering the deadly drug Propofol what were those motives?

Murray was doing as he was told.

The security tapes should be tracked down. The security companies should have copies especially when they concern such a high risk client as Michael Jackson. Lets hope the security company will be subpoeaned to produce copies before the trial.

Rest in peace dear Michael. We will stay vigilant and alert and pray for justice for you, your family and all those who love you.
