The only good thing to come from this tragedy is that Sarah Palin's political career will finally be over, forever. It is unthinkable that she could have become the Vice-President of the United States, one heartbeat away from the Presidency. Her nomination was a joke; this should send a warning to the GOP: vet your candidates; the nomination of a political candidate must never be done in haste or casually.

GO HARVEY!!! Its good to see TMZ expanding from the entertaining lives of celebrities to the reality of current events.

And TMZ is actually helping to educate the misinformed people who perhaps should balance their time watching/reading the news and participating in TMZ postings.

Good stuff!

I am NOT a Sarah Palin supporter, but to blame the Arizona shooting on her is leftist BS---When a FREAK IDIOT like this warped minded illiterate punk kid does something like this, I could blame Hollywood movies more than Palin- I could blamr the Coen brothers for their violence in Film, or the complete decadence of many Hollywood s***-bag producers who thrive on stories as this!!!!We here more horrible things said from the Idiots on the VIEW, or from Bill Maher-Real asasination diatribe from Rosie O and Joy Behar!!!!

You flaming blaming liberals never cease to amaze the common sense logical thinking Americans. Obama himself, the man AT THE TOP calls all of those who disagree with him HIS "ENEMIES."This is hate speech 101. So if your Commander in Chief cites violence it's ok but now you blaming tea party and Palin.Intersting, when O'Reilly said Muslims killed us on 9/11 Racist Whoopi and idiot Joy walked off cause he painted Muslims with one brush and did not add the word terrorists. Well - you flaming blaming liberals are doing EXACT SAME THING. Get over yourselves and quit with the hatred. It starts with the man at the top!!!!

"Violent revolution -- ever ok?"

How in the world, can any United States citizen suggest "NO" to this question??? Our country was founded as the result of a "necessary", violent revolution. It must be easier to forget, when we are constantly re-writing the history books, or dismissing them altogether. Violent revolution brought necessary freedom to North America, and laid the groundwork for the current rights and liberty which we are afforded today.

Every bit of evidence points to the fact that Jared Loughhner was of the same political leanings as Harvey Levin!
It was Obama who said he was going to 'bring a gun to a knife fight'

Give me a break. You really think banning semi-automatic weapons is going to prevent shootings like these?
They will just start using pistols and shotguns. Either way, there will be guns to use.

Palin should have been the one shot in the head.

.... or knives. The evil is within us not outside. The right to bear arms has long been enforced throughout the USA history. Why make it a big deal NOW? The mental disorders rate is going UP and will keep climbing, so may be it makes sense to focus on the MENTAL HEALTH of the nation rather than taking the Constitutional rights away from the citizens.

To say Palin (and FOX and the Tea Party) isn't partly to blame for this because *they* didn't pull the trigger is the same as saying Bin Laden isn't to blame for 9/11 and Hitler isn't to blame for the Holocaust. They may not directly kill but they know firing up their base means their dirty work will get done without them getting any blood on themselves.

And to say the shooter is 'mentally ill' and not a terrorist is so beyond wrong and hypocritical. If he hadn't been a white, male American he'd have immediately been listed as a terrorist.

If he's truly 'mentally ill' then McCain is a crossdresser. Thanks to our lovely judicial system and the laws that both the left and right have put in place now no one is responsible for their own actions ever... they are 'mentally ill'. BS!!!

You cannot be serious!!!

Bin Laden directly gave the order for the hit on 9/11. Hitler directly constructed and orchestrated the Holocaust. To suggest that Sarah Palin, conservatives, or a news media outlet had directly encouraged this action is beyond ridiculous. By the way, Fox News has been offering some of the most in depth and sympathetic coverage to this event. GET REAL PEOPLE . . .

This was caused by a kid with crazy ideas that hated all government and said he didn't believe in God -- which if I am correct has no political affiliation. Sarah Palin wasn't in on it. The kid didn't check in with Obama first. The idea wasn't formed at a Tea Party rally. It was one person who made up his own mind. That is the only person to blame.
