Dr. Murray's Medical Shingle Hangin' By a Thread

1/12/2011 9:20 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Conrad Murray's medical career may not have flatlined -- TMZ has learned the medical boards in Texas and Nevada will not automatically suspend his license just because a California judge did.

0112_conrad_murray_TMZ_EX

Sources connected with the Texas Medical Board and the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners tell TMZ they are weighing their options regarding the suspension of Murray's medical license.

Murray's California medical license was suspended yesterday as a condition of bail in his ongoing Michael Jackson manslaughter case.

But we're told ... because a judge suspended Murray's license and not the California Medical Board -- TX and NV don't feel compelled to follow suit and issue suspensions in their states.

We're told Murray's attorney, Charles Peckham, has been in talks with the NV med board and is making contact with TX as well -- but no word on when a final decision will be made.

Just the fact that there was enough evidence in this matter to hold him over for trial should be enough for both other states. Are they waiting for a dead body of their own here?

This physician is not qualified to practice medicine. That's pretty clear. He gave Propofol to a man in his home bedroom. That's enough to disqualify him to practice medicine anywhere.

nothing touches this doctor does it. it seems he can kill a icon and get away with it. texas and nevada wow i cannot believe it, how these states are letting this quack to continue to treat others. if this was the average person you know they would take their medical license away real quick. texas and nevada are thumbing their noses at a judge pastor's ruling. who palms are they greasing here. this is a very shameful act.

Now THAT... IS funny. LOL I've seen it here too many times that TMZ suddenly posts an article, that they claim "their sources" tell them, when it's glaringly obvious that their "source" was a poster on their boards that found the article FOR them, inadvertently.

TMZ has posters WORKING their jobs for them (those that post latest articles on any given subject, in TMZ threads, for other posters to read...) - a.k.a "our sources".. AS IF.

Often, coming here, offers the much appreciated laugh when needed. Thank you, Harvey. lol

Now... this latest: NV and TX are not compelled to follow suit in suspending his license. Forgot to add: "... as they need to first peruse their statues and regulations first, before deciding."

Sure. They have no clue what their statutes and regulations are pertaining to suspending a license that's been suspended elsewhere for a physician that has been mandated to go to trial on MANSLAUGHTER charges, having USED HIS MED LICENSE to COMMIT the MANSLAUGHTER he is going to trial for. Doesn't AUTOMATICALLY spark the least bit of interest in either of NV, or TX med boards to protect patients in the interim.

M'k. And, people ask me WHY I am leary of physicians, and the medical field altogether. Ask me how I feel about law, and attorneys. lol The vast majority, of either, anyway.

Movin' on...

LOL @ ".... a judge suspended Murray's license and not the California Medical Board."

Been clearly known for some time now that the CA Medical Board has tried begging the court TWICE, since Murray had been charged a year and a half ago, but denied, until FINALLY yesterday.

As usual... TMZ and their failed junior high school writing skills exams, let alone critical thinking, and comprehension skills testing, staff - at their office keyboard(s).

Any body have a clue what any of these TMZ epic fails of 'reporters'/camera people/commentators makes annually?

I mean, if "16, and Pregnant" 'stars' make the purported $65K each, per season, when they - the same as TMZ staff - are no more qualified to correctly function professionally at flipping burgers, as they are......... well?

Rhetorical, of course.... was just mildly curious, is all. :o)

Sure, one of ConMan's patients (after being paid to say so?) is pissed about the suspension. Sure, after all, this is one of the SURVIVING patients, not the one ConMan killed. MJ might see it differently after his bad outcome.

This site is awesome. I saw it here and on michaeljackson.com. conradmurray Info on the lawyers, drugs, Murrays mug shot, and even his other lawyer's propofol case. Fyi, it's legit and great.

I'm glad that, unlike CA, TX and NV have some sense. Imagine thinking a man should be tried for manslughter because he gave a drug addict what he wanted. Does this mean that when a druggie overdoses and CA knows who sold the drugs, the state will charge the drug dealer with involuntary manslaughter?

If someone is caught selling drugs for what ever reason they are arrested for it.

He claims if his license is suspended he cant earn money. Is he supposedly supposed to be practicing medicine while he is on trial?
how is does he have the time to do that?

Murray was making an alleged $100-150K per month as MJ's doctor without a contract signed by MJ nor AEG. The haters want the world to believe MJ was broke, therefore AEG had to be the financier for Murray's criminal practice. AEG paid the blood money to Murray.

why of course. if it can be proven in a court of law that the drug dealer injected the druggie with a lethal overdose and killed him. Sure, the dealer should be charged with manslaughter or murder.

I guess drug dealers will start getting online medical degrees in CA, TX, and NV. Damn near laughable how a known killer walks around free to kill again.

((Said it before and I will continue to say it. Michael Jackson wasn't a "druggie" nor a "junkie". Autopsy reports confirm that he was in excellent health; his organs were functioning and intact. Had he been this raving addict for all the years that the tabloids and their writers would let us believe, he would have been in pretty rough shape. He took prescription drugs for ailments that were confirmed and, yes, he seemed to have abused them from time to time, I imagine more often than not with a physician's help. The propofol thing was definitely way off the chart in risk, however, it seemed to be a part of his routine when preparing for and conducting a concert. Shame on all of those that enabled him that practice. But it was Murray that got caught ... and he should be punished accordingly.))
