Anderson Cooper

Attacked in Egypt

2/2/2011 11:15 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Anderson Cooper and his CNN news crew claim they were punched, kicked and shoved by a violent mob of pro-Mubarak supporters in Cairo early this morning.

Anderson Cooper Attacked
Cooper claims he and his team were trying to get to a spot in between the two sides of protesters in Tahrir Square -- when they were attacked.

Cooper claims the mob tried to break his team's camera -- because they didn't want to be on film --  when the violence escalated and men began to punch members of the news crew in the head.

0202_anderson_cooper_miniAnderson explained, "The instinct is try to punch back ... but in a situation like that you really can't because that just inflames the crowd all the more ... so all we could do is just try to walk as quickly as possible, stay together and seek a safe location which is where we are now."

Anderson-

GET OUT OF THERE!!! Who cares what they do. Let them kill themselves! We don't need to see it on TV. If people in this country want to know what is going on, then let THEM fly there and see it! Getting killed for all these crackpots all over the world is NUTS!!!!!!

Not quite. Cooper was attacked by ANTI- Mobarak supporters. The people in the street mistake American financial support of Mobarak as being complicit in his dictatorship. They now have a totally warped view of "democracy" and now believe instituting an Islamic State with Sharia law lead by a Khilahfah (Caliphate) is the way to go. Google that word & you'll see a pattern: a push for a global Islamic state and wipe Israel off the map.

They are crayz!!

Didn't we just see Anderson get his A$$ handed to him by pee-wee herman a couple weeks ago.... "Here's a headline for ya Anderson....." pee wee herman cracked a chair over your head ~ what did you think was going to happen in Cairo? They are fighting for their freedom, not just a SNL skit. To be honest I'm surprised a mob of hungry haitians didn't crack your skull open last year. You are on tv drinking bottle water and eating three meals a day while steps away people are dying of hunger and thirst. First thing I would have done is find the TV crews, take all their food and water.

Well that's how they treat gay men in Muslim countries if they are not busy stoning or beheading them .

Key words? "Cooper claims." Of course he wasn't hurt, they hit him in the head! What a master of self promotion. Stay in the gay bars Anderson, it is a much more comfortable venue for you.
