It is crazy that cue cards are not provided for people who sing our national anthem. It is a difficult song and it is not like pop stars such as Christina sing it every day. Give 'em all cue cards and be done with this sort of thing. No one wants to see the anthem botched. Or a career, for that matter.

Why do they have to screw up the National Anthem by adding a lot of extra notes to the song. Up and down twisting notes that were not written into the original song. Leave the song alone and sing it the way it was meant to be sung.

It sucks she forgot the words at the actual show, but I didn't even notice it to be honest with you. I was too busy getting chills and tears in my eyes from such a gorgeous & powerful voice!

What arrogance. The national anthem is the best song in the world and she thinks she knows a better way to sing it. The reason she forgot the words is she was trying to make it all about her with some rendition you could not follow.
