"Two and a Half Men" star Angus T. Jones gave Maria Shriver a run for her money yesterday -- by not only parking in a red zone ... but also blocking one of the oldest-looking fire hydrants in all of L.A.

Fortunately for the super rich 17-year-old ... he got outta there before cops took notice.

I don't think Maria Shriver got this much criticism when she parked in a red zone (and talked on her cell phone when driving, I think more than once). Her "penance" was to donate her favorite cell phone to charity. Why couldn't she just donate 100 cells phones to charity? She can afford it and would have been a nice gesture.

Also, Angus has incredible comic timing. He showed a lot of acting maturity for such a young man, starting at only 10. And I read that he plans to attend college when the show ends.
