Whoopi Goldberg PISSED Over NY Times Oscar Snub

I guess if she doesn't toot her own horn no one else will. I would be pissed too. She won the award ... hello!!

All you negative posters ... please ... think ... when did you ever even act in a film yet alone win an Academy Award?

I don't think Whoopi realizes that she won a "because the movie is so popular" Oscar.

Whoopie was amazing in Ghost. She should be upset very few African American women have the Oscar. I think she is one of 4 or 5 women.

The New York times ran a story on African American Oscar Winners (there has only been a few) but the New York Times story does not mention the fact Whoopi has won an Academy Award. This made Whoopi very mad! Whoopi states on "The View" that it was 70 years between Hattie Mcdaniel Acadmey Award (for Gone with the Wind) and hers (for Ghost) not true it was 51!

Next she will say it's bc she is black.

Perhaps they were unaware of the fact that you are African-American, Goldberg is not usually associated with the Black Community as a Surname.

I'm not a Whoopi Goldberg fan, but the woman has won an:

Grammy
Oscar
Tony
She deserves her f-ing props.

She's not asking everyone to be able to remember who won what and when. However, she has a valid point....if the NY Times is going to print an article on African-American Oscar Winners, do the research and print the facts! The media should be held accountable for what they print maybe they'll stop printing assumptions and garbage! That's the problem the media feeds us anything and some of us condone it with ignorant comments!

It was 70 years between Hattie's win and Whoopi's. It was 51 years. Whoopi however shoud of won for "The Color Purple". The film also should of won Best Picture!

What did she win that Oscar for, that tired ol' Rasta hairdo she be sportin' for 30 years? If she shorn off those locks, NOBODY'd even recognize the Whoop!!!
