He is mean.

No he didnt, he just didnt feel like answering questions so he just said "who is charlie sheen?", "who are they?" simple. Its called playing dumb.

why are we obsessed with letting an englishman tell us how terrible we are ,it goes back to our founding father's who broke their asses to get away from this sort of tyranny.

Simon rocks. American Idol is nothing without Paula and Simon. Simon is the only one who will speak him mind and not sugar coat it.

What is the vocabulary and understanding of concepts within the Thirty Mile Zone? Sounds like the concept of taking a jab at someone has a different meaning there than the rest of the world. I agree with #2. He was playing dumb, or he could have been implying that he has more important things on his mind.

Also, these reporters ask some stupid questions. They have access to the celebs but can't think of anything interesting to ask them. Do some research then go track them down.

LOVE SIMON!!!!! When asked if he'd party with Charlie ...'Who's Charlie Sheen?' & when asked about the 'AI' judges....'Who are they?' British humor is the best!!!!!!!

Have to admit I love this season of American Idol. The judges and the talent this year is great! Finally the show is about looking for talent and not Simon and his huge ego...

SIMON COWELL, his over-sized skull must be carried on his soft Engishman's shoulders thus causing his brain to be compromised.

Surprisingly, I LOVE American Idol this season. I think Steven and Jennifer are REFRESHING! A great, great trio!! (Who knew that Simon could so easily be replaced??!!--I wish him well. )

Must be a slow Sheen day if you're stretching so hard to create controversy by claiming anything in that exchange was a jab. Seriously, we expect more from you TMZ, don't throw up garbage just for the sake of creating content.

This season is the best one ever with Stephen Tyler and Jennifer. They are awesome. They have picked out some very good talented singers. Do not miss Simon at all.
