Warner Bros. to Charlie:

Here's Why You're Fired

3/7/2011 8:25 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has obtained a letter Warner Bros. sent to Charlie Sheen's lawyer, stating Charlie was being terminated because he committed a felony involving "moral turpitude."

Charlie Sheen Termination Letter
In the 11-page letter, obtained from sources connected to Charlie, Warner Bros. states, "Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill."

The letter then goes on to describe Charlie's hijinks, including trashing the Plaza Hotel in NYC, coke binges, on-set failures because of drug fatigue, and diatribes against "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre.

The letter also notes that Charlie derailed production when he went into rehab, and then he fired his sobriety coach.  In fact, Warner Bros. claims it was so concerned about Charlie's well-being, "Warner Bros. had an airplane waiting" to take him to a treatment facility ... but Charlie would have none of it.

As for why Charlie got fired, the letter says there is a clause in his contract saying they can fire a performer who commits "a felony offense involving moral turpitude."

The letter says, "There is ample evidence supporting Warner Bros. reasonable good faith opinion that Mr. Sheen has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude (including but not limited to furnishing of cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly) that have 'interfere[d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required' under the agreement."

In short, that's why Charlie was fired.

Charlie's lawyer, Marty Singer, has demanded Warner Bros. pay Charlie for the eight canceled episodes -- or else.

Warner Bros. seems undaunted by the threat, even reserving its right to take legal action against Charlie.

Charlie is really sick, ad the best thing that WB could ever do for him, is to fire him! All of the money and fame, has proven too much for the man. He was being paid almost 2 million a show! WOW! Tha would make me crazy too, who pays that to anyone that amount is ludacris! I for one will not be making fun of Charlie, would you make fun of a person who who keeps on having heart attacks, asnd does'nt know that their is medication out there that can help him! No you would'nt!
Charlie is so ill, that he does'nt even know he needs help! So stop making fun of him people, as he my be the next entertainer tha leaves us way before his time! GOD BLESS YOU CHARLIE! PLEASE GET HELP!, not for yourself, but do it for all of your fans who love and support you!

The part that TMZ censored had something to do with the first part of the cornfield and the second part word of a manhole. Although I laughed hard at the mystery added to the unnecessary censorship.

Alright let me get this right:

His behavior has been very much like his character was on One and a Half Men.

How can they claim moral turpitude without accusing the show itself of not being fit for viewers? The show is on Prime Time and a child actor has been exposed to the scrtipts and scenes since he was very young.

He has threesomes, hires prostitutes, always a drink in hand, gambles somewhat obsessively and his revolving door of women are parading around the child (Jake)?

If WarnerBros now says he is morally bankrupt then perhaps the once little Jake has a lawsuit for being exposed to the behavior in the show all these years. I can't stand the hypocrisy.

Sheen has made the producers very wealthy and they should pay him - a deal is a deal. T

In Hollywood it seems that people like someone for what they can do for them or make money for them. I HOPE that Charlie has some true friends that really do care about him. He is actually a cool guy and if anyone truly cares about him, then be there for him! iTS TOO BAD HE WAS FIRED from show but i do not believe that John Stamos will truly replace him, i think that the show will go under if so. If they have to replace him, then why dont they just get someone totally new and unknown? It would actually be way more interesting to watch someone new and fresh and would probably cost them less money. Give a new actor a chance. Why not hold auditions instead of just trying to decide what known actor to replace him with. that may be the only way to save the show.I dont really think that John Stamos or Rob lowe would make it that interesting in my opinion. The show really was good because of Charlie, but like i said a new face might be interesting to watch.

oh, and How can they say he commited a felony if he was not arrested for one? there is no proof of that it seems. and I hear that in Hollywood that once someone makes someone powerful in the business angry, that they can kiss their career goodbye. But i doubt that will happen to Charlie, because he is a powerful A list actor that has made his agent and manager a lot of money, incuding the network a lot of money.

I already miss the show. I wish Charlie would stfu and get help, but I doubt he will until it's too late. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. blows. If, as they stated, Charlie's condition had been deteriorating for months, then they had a moral obligation to stop production--they could easily have done so and made rehabilitation the condition for his continuance on the show. But they were so busy making money, they didn't care about his health, only his performance. Missing the show, to me, is entirely secondary to Charlie getting his s**t together.
