Charlie Sheen's

'Tiger Blood'

Revealed!

3/10/2011 5:15 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen's kept his "Tiger Blood" cocktail a secret while waiting for an official sponsorship deal -- but TMZ has learned the secret beverage he's sipping is something called ... Mangosteen?!

0220_charlie_sheen_getty
Mangosteen is a rare Southeast Asian fruit -- and a puree of the stuff is bottled and sold as XANGO juice. The bottler claims the juice helps maintain intestinal, joint, and immune system health ... and also promotes a healthy respiratory system.

Charlie and health drinks may not sound like a perfect match, but friends close to Sheen tell us he "drinks the stuff everyday" -- and though publicly he's been referring to it as tiger blood ... privately he calls it his "mango drink."

As of now XANGO hasn't tapped Charlie to be a spokesperson. Sources connected with the company tell us they are "very nervous" about being associated with the actor.

Kate Moss did a retox using mangosteen. Didn't work for her, either.

I figured his Tiger's Blood drink was not a mystery drink. XANGO juice has been around for awhile. It's suppose to be a good health drink.

I see it advertised a lot when I go to other websites. You can sign up to advertise it yourself if have a website.

Charlie going to need more than Xango to clean him out. Smoking cigarettes is not helping his body stay clean either...it's better than him putting other drugs in his system but cigarettes are drugs too.

Xango is actually linked to a pyramid scheme... I attended one of their presentations a while back, where they get you to pay into a marketing down line and you become a virtual retailer for the drink... so maybe Charlie Sheen has a place in the pyramid, as then anyone who is involved, stands to benefit... even if they don't want to admit it.... or maybe one if his "angels" are involved.

The drink is ok, but I wouldn't trust the company behind it...

Xango/Mangosteen is the latest "snake oil" fad. Any claims of health benefits are the typical garbage you'd expect from multi-level marketers trying to make a buck off of you. There is no reliable scientific evidence to support these claims. Don't fall for the scam. Source: Quackwatch

Charlie needs to get with me, I can get Mangosteen under his own brand name through my manufacturing connection. TIGER BLOOD for WINNERS!

Asian health practioners have used Mangosteen for many centuries and for good reason. Mangosteen didn’t get it’s name “Queen of all fruits” from the villages just for its delicious flavour but more for its healing powers.

All the xanthones are in the reddish pericarp product...the xanthones also prevent oxidation...so the residual xanthone from the pericarp keeps our product pink.

The white part of the mangosteen has very little antioxidant and phytonutrient benefit. All the good phytonutrient activity is in the pericarp. Getting a little of that pericarp in the product is good! That is why pinkish is good!

Xanthones are active and natural substances rarely found in fruits and vegetables and are extremely powerful antioxidants. Scientists have identified 200 different varieties of xanthones and remarkably, 40 is found in mangosteen. These antioxidants travel throughout your body, literally mopping up the free radicals on their way, leaving the body cleaner and healthier than before. No other tropical fruit has been found to contain as much xanthones as mangosteen.

Mangosteen's xanthones (alpha-mangostin and gamma-mangostin) are more potent than Vitamin C or Vitamin E. Mangosteen also contains Garcinone-E, which researchers suggest may be useful for the treatment of certain types of cancer. Mangosteen includes many vitamins, minerals and nutrients as well as Catechins, Stilbene, Polysaccharides, and Quinones.

The antioxidant power of the whole mangosteen fruit juice has an ORAC value of 17,000. In comparison, whole blueberries, a rich source of antioxidants, has an ORAC value of 61 units per gram, while pomegranates has an ORAC value of 105 units per gram.

There is no comparison!!
