Denise Richards: Stay Away From Our Kids, Charlie!

3/10/2011 1:49 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

A showdown is brewing between Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards ... TMZ has learned ... because Charlie wants 7-year-old Sam to come over to his house this weekend for a birthday party ... and Denise is saying, "No way!"

Sam's birthday was yesterday ... and we're told Denise was steadfast -- she was not going to let Charlie into her house to see the children because of Charlie's craziness.  Turns out that wasn't a problem, because Charlie never came.  He called in the evening to wish Sam a happy birthday, but that was it.

But now Charlie wants to have a big party at his house this weekend, celebrating Sam's birthday, and inviting all her friends.  We're told Denise is scoffing at the invitation and says Sam isn't going, nor are any of her friends.

We're told Charlie is gearing up for a fight -- possibly a legal fight.

Happy birthday!

Ok so he's a harm to his children because he wants to have a birthday party for his daughter? He wants to have a relationship with his children. Why is that bad? And everyone must remember that Charlie is not using anything. So, now he should be kept from his kids in case he has mental issues or is bipolar? Are you kidding? How many parents out there suffer with these same exact issues? When ever Charlie is shown with his boys he acts like any other Father does. I don't think taking his kids from him is the right thing to do and it's not good for his daughters either.
It's funny how so many people think they know what's right for a person they don't even know and are only watching snippets of his life from the news media.
I'm sure if someone went through all of your life with a fine tooth comb there'd be a few skeletons in the closet. Quit judging and take care of your own house!!!!

Charlie should not fret. The father not being able to see his kids is pretty much standard in the usa, although his money might give him some advantage.

Charlie, welcome to the "alienation of affection" club. Our membership grows everyday.

So many of you are so ridiculous. Most of you wouldn't go within 500 feet of Charlie but you're all shrieking that Denise needs to 'suck it up' and go over to supervise after threats of bodily harm were made against her, all because she married him almost a decade ago even though they've been divorced for 5 years.

Why on Earth would she go supervise somewhere where he's made serious allegations of harm against her? That would just be idiotic for her to go. With how he's acting and how he flaunts in the face of the law, he very well might act on his anger towards her in front of the girls and any other children. It's not like he's been shy about being abusive in public settings before.

Who cares what's in Denise's past? She's being a good mother and has been for quite a few years now. Maybe the TV show was questionable, but also only ran for 17 eps and is canceled so it's rather moot. She keeps her nose down, rarely seems to comment on much or exist in Hollywood anymore. Part of being a good mother is sheltering the children from bad influences even if that influence is the other parent.

Contributing genes does not give you some omnipotent 'right' to the child. BEING A PARENT IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT.

Perhaps if all the media coverage stopped, the craziness would stop also. We are all feeding the frenzy.
