ABC:

We're Calling the Cops

on Chris Brown

3/22/2011 2:03 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

ABC staffers called the cops after Chris Brown's tirade this AM to document the broken window in the building, and this could spell big trouble for the famous singer who is currently on probation.

0322-cops-are-coming-audio-launch-3
TMZ obtained audio near the dressing room where Chris allegedly took a chair and smashed a window, sending shards of glass onto 43rd Street.  During the conversation between the staffer and a glass repairman, the staffer says "I have a police officer coming just to take a look at it before we do any work."

Despite the conversation, NYPD sources tell us ... none of their officers were dispatched to the scene.

If Chris did indeed smash the window, it probably constitutes at least 2 crimes -- vandalism and assault on the passersby below.   As a result, the judge in the Rihanna battery case could revoke Chris' probation and, worst case scenario, he could end up in prison.

You can be certain if it was Harvey Levin they would have wrestled him to the ground, hand-cuffed him and called NYPD immediately. Chris Brown gets a royal escort to his car, and well wishes "I'm rooting for the guy".

Put his no-talent angry ass in jail, and we'll see how tough he really is (my guess is he's a wimp with a big mouth).

Another loser that does not know how good he has it, and feels he is above it all and can do anything he wants as long as he has good lawyers to bail him out.

You sir are a coward for beating women, and you sire deserve the full punishment the law allows for your crimes against people and property.

Don't go away mad, just go away.

Charlie Sheen do a bunch of crazy things and ppl want to book him. Hell he's taking his crazy train on the road. Chris Brown gets a little pissed and everybody wants him to go to jail...get over it...and quit being so quick to judge.

I am no fan of Chris, nor should any 54-yr-old grama such as myself be, and especially after his attack on Reihanna. I will now go out on a limb and say, I DON'T BLAME HIM for today's button pushing blitz on air. ENOUGH already!!!! He managed to hide his **** long enough to get through his sentence, did all that he was supposed to do. Now EVERY single interview is about Rihanna, who, by the way has quite a little addiction of her own going on that SHE might want to take SOME responsibility for. Her attraction to abusive men, guns, and a sexual fetish that includes violence, readily seen in most of her videos. Her leaking of pics of herself just as his release is coming up? Enough already. I would have chucked the chair at the interviewer who KNEW exactly what buttons to keep on pushing.

ABC needs to kick rocks. When he 1st changed the subject they should have gotten the hint that even if he agreed he didnt want to do it any more. People are always doing extra stuff. Imagine if that was them surley they wouldnt want their laundry aired out. He trying to promote his album, not the incident. It happened he served the time and is punished enough. Who are we to judge him now..nobody. If they charge him it will more an embarsement to the law and their jacked up processes. CHRIS BROWN FOREVER!!!!!!!! He should have thrown the chair through the window....freakin jerks.

Long Term.... for this young man a short stint/reality check would only be a plus for his career and credibility interest... so to speak, down the long winding road.

It is all very public and he is going to have to see his Probation Officer and probably his Judge, that 'PRAISED' this douche-bag saying he was getting it and a model probationer. Uh, I suspect that the PO and Judge are NOT going to take kindly to this and get his dumb black butt back to LA and into a courtroom to explain himself to them! This is far from over! Once a douche-bag ALWAYS A DOUCHE-BAG!

Robin is telling people at the show she did NOT try to set him up ... and insists, "I'm pulling for the guy."

The chair threw itself out the window.

Everyone that witnessed this crime still has the oppurtunity to contact NYPD and file a complaint against him. You can be certain that ABC's coporate legal teams is advising everyone not to contact NYPD or make any statements to the authorities.

ABC is covering up Chris Browns crime.

I despise how show biz blogs make it sound like it would be a trauma if he had to go to prison. He could have killed the people below. He SHOULD be in prison.
