Charlie Sheen to Warner Bros: I Want a Public Trial!

3/23/2011 1:55 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen thinks the deck is stacked against him in his holy war with Warner Bros. over "Two and a Half Men," and he wants a public trial, not a closed-door arbitration.

Charlie Sheen Trial

Charlie -- who was fired by Warner Bros. and is suing the company for $100,000,000 -- claims Warner Bros. is trying to force the case into private arbitration because the judges who preside over these arbitrations do lots of business with Warner Bros.

So Charlie has filed legal papers, asking for a public trial in a public courthouse.

From what I read Sheen's contract specified arbitration. Most judges prefer that arbitration be used instead of going to court. Obviously Sheen wants to ride on all the publicity he can get to keep his career alive.

Shades of Conan O'Brien in more ways than one.

While true in most instances...I'm sure Lohan was telling the Producer of that Linda Lovelace thing that she also was "Ready to Work".

Production companies have to protect the interest of the show and the other actors....CHUCKLES was in no shape (after over dosing the last time) to jump up and work...he can SAY anything he likes but rest assured their are about 100 attorneys for Warner Bros. with enough ammo to BURY CHUCKLES THE CRACK HEAD CLOWN.

What does Lindsy hav eto do woth Charlie? Lindsay had serious legal issues that might have, and in deed di, affect her inability to work. She was physically capable of doing the movie, but her legals problems got in the way. Charlie had no legal problems that would have prevented him from returning to work. Furthermore, considering the incident wasn't the first time, it's safe to believe that he was ready to work because, historically, he was and he did.

I have watched 2 1/2 Men since the kid was a little tyke and liked all the characters but I know this...if they do put Charlie back in the show I will never watch the show again.

Since all of this has happen I now see Charlie as he really is....a very mentally sick selfish person.

Are you saying that you're just NOW realizing that Charlie Harper and Charlie Sheen are the same person? You honestly didn't realize that not a lot of writing went into that show because Charlie was just living his life on a smaller scale on screen?

Sounds like a smart move. Charlie always has his thinking cap on, you have to give him credit for that !

Yes Tammy, but there comes a time (and Warner's gave it to him) to go to rehab, get well and then return. CHUCKLES did none of that. Instead he launched into crazy tirades and thought his "star" power could bully an entire studio, many have tried that tactic and all have failed.

The production of that show was in jeopardy, and that's all Warner's will have to prove. CHUCKLES on the other hand has a lot to answer for...and it will make for an interesting trial...but he'll bankrupt himself in the process.

Hope his idiotic pride is worth it...oh wait, WE ARE talking about the CHUCKLES THE CLOWN...so 'nuff said.

Charlie is a idiot, and all those who are on his side, are only helping to make more of a fool out of him, if that is possible..Charlie the only ones who are siding with you are teens, colleage kids , dopers , and trailer trash, and people with ghetto intelligence....GROW UP and stop hurting your children and the real people who love you. You want open court ,why to make your real self known, I think you had best think twice about this. the people who will be cheering you on are just the same trash that is using you now, and the above mentioned, I am sure that will really impress the judge.

Charlie just wants the public to defend him..but he's caused his own mess.

I thought about buying tickets to his sold out shows then realized I'd only be playing into his hand by allowing him to collect millions from us 'trolls' in order to compensate the salary he flipped his middle finger at when he was on top.

Let's not forget about him abusing his wives and thinking he's cool to disrespect the people who gave him a great job with tremendous pay to go with it.

He's too ungrateful and delusional for my better judgement. It was all fun and games at first...I mean, who wouldn't want to be able to tell their boss to go frick themselves every now and then.

I hope he doesn't win in this situation..it's obvious he didn't deserve what he was getting in the first place. He can easily be replaced..and he was lucky to have what was offered him from the beginning..

On television this week, his own father called Charlie "emotionally crippled". Crazy seems like a better word.

Have you noticed...the tone of comments on his 'stories" have changed.

much more intelligent reasoning...it was fun in the beginning to see how badly he would continue to self destruct...it has now become a death watch of a career that made millions of dollars.

Hope CHUCKLES realizes in time, what everyone else has, it's over.

Lets see, this man really thinks he stands a shot at a trial case...yep, delusional. I have yet to see polls on any site where they've asked if he should get his job back where he hasn't lost the vote by a land-slide. Now, there's the point of a jury pool. Thanks to his own publicity hunt...who doesn't know about what's going on with him?! Even if they went for a change of venue...good freaking luck finding a jury.

If they do manage to find one...good luck Charlie, I don't think you stand a snowball's chance in....

WB does not have the right to tell Charlie how to live his life. The decision to go to rehab is Charlie's and Charlie's alone. Furthermore, unless a person wants to go to rehab, it's a waste of time and money.

Sad-Sad

I'm somewhat embrrassed to tell people I'm from Los Angeles with all this Charlie Sheen & Lindsay Lohan BS unfolding. Complete Joke. Let this be known these celebs are NO reflection of genuine LA natives and the community at Large. We are sorry for this media circus joke.

These sheen shena****n's all remind me of when Pee Wee Herman tried to revive his TV and movie career after we found out what a little scuzz ball he really was in real life. Well..it didn't work for Pee Wee...and it ain't gonna work for sheen either. There are certain lines that you just can't cross..or else.-Both will now be forever known as embarrassing industry "has beens".
