Dr. Murray Targeting Jurors Who Take Responsibility

3/23/2011 7:05 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

With jury selection beginning tomorrow in the manslaughter case involving Michael Jackson's death .... TMZ has learned ... Dr. Conrad Murray is targeting 12 men and/or women who take responsibility for their actions ... this according to sources who have seen the jury questionnaire.

0224_conrad_murray_tmz_ex_2

One of the more revealing questions:  "Do you believe patients have the responsibility to tell their doctors about their complete past and current social habits, including use of drugs, alcohol and prescription medications?"

A central part of Dr. Murray's defense is that Michael Jackson was a hard-core Propofol addict who hid his drug dependence from the doc ... thus Murray wasn't operating with full knowledge.

Other questions laser in on what people think of the case, with a heavy emphasis on social media.

-- Do you have a blog?  If so, describe.

-- Are you active on social networks.  If so, which?

The answers will lead Murray's lawyers to spontaneous comments of prospective jurors that could be more revealing than answers they give in court.

And the questionnaire asks:  "Do you financially support others outside your immediate family?"

Dr. Murray has had money troubles that could make him sympathetic to certain jurors.

Other questions include:  "At what age should a person be held accountable for their decisions, actions and consequences."

The defense is looking for people who believe in personal responsibility, such as small business owners.

This title just makes me laugh.

Dr. Murray Targeting Jurors Who Take Responsibility

Really, they want 12 jurors who take responsibility for their own actions when the one who is charged can not take responsibiity for his own actions even in his personal life?

Come on, gimme a break.

Like I said before. His own actions told him to pump his patient up with benzos and top it off with propofol. His own actions, no one else's, said to walk out of the room and talk on the phone while his patient was not being monitored or watched while under this powerful drug. His actions, no one else's decided to hide drugs and such before calling 911. His actions, did not do cpr correctly. His actions didn't tell ucla or the emts what he gave his patient. His actions hid out for 2 days to lawyer up. His actions changed his fricking story a bunch of times. Should I go on? These were no one elses actions but Conrat Murrays.

Just a shame it has taken this long for this man to go to trial. Any other country this would have happened in, it would have already happened.

If conrad murray was not hiding something he would have came clean from the beginning of what really went on and not run and hide for 2 days. He would have told emts and ucla what he gave him. And I never have said that Mj had no responsiblity in this. But Murray did too and his patient died because of his neglect and stupidity. And for that he should be held accountable and never practice medicine again. A person would not lie about everything from the very beginning if they had nothing to hide about themselves. I just still do not get why people think Murray had no responsibity in Michael's death. His actions or I should say inactions caused a human being his life.

This, coming from someone who is supposed to be a medical professional who routinely used a powerful anesthetic outside of a surgical OR without having the proper equipment for administering the IV drip, no equipment for monitoring his pt's vital signs, nor any emergency resuscitatation equipment. A HEART surgeon who does not know how to properly do CPR. And who left his pt alone and while under sedation.
Have we heard him holding *himself* responsible for THESE actions? Seems all I've heard is him trying to blame the PATIENT!!

@ duilama

and you are perfect????

Point is MJ hired the doc TO MONITOR him.
He told the nurse who warned him about Propofol, that it was safe BECAUSE HIS DOC TOLD HIM SO....

Please do not judge someones behaviour unless you`ve walked in his shoes...
We don`t know how desperate he was to get some sleep.
You wouldn`t know what you would do if you where unable to sleep night after night, week after week...
It can drive a person to the edge.
The fact that MJ did use it while he had 3 lovely children, who he loved most of all, says enough .

The fact is ,the doc was hired to take care of him ...and he didn`t.
Nothing more nothing less ;
that`s all what this case is about.

i kinda feel bad for the doc...doctors get scammed all the time by drug addicts trying to get pain meds..he shouldnt get all the blame for this but he is an idiot n brought it upon himself...as a doctor he should be able to tell michael j just wanted the drugs to get high cuz he fcked his own life up..the guy had a lot of problems and if he wasnt a millionare hed just be a junky heroin addict on the street n still end up deead..his dad caused all of this i honestly believe

Hurray up and get this over with already!!!! The doctor is hoping to plant resonable doubt in the minds of possible jurors. Did MJ drank, inject, abruse drugs that caused his death, he's going to paint himself as a qualified doctor who was attending to a frail, sick, heavily medicated pop star that many have stated on T.V. interviews and MJ himself has acknowledge...Reasonable doubt is they stragegy!!!

Wow, this guy helps stick a needle in someone's arm for years, makes millions off it and refuses any type of responsibility. Noble, true sense of what this country is coming to. Think I'll let my dogs out, murder my neighbor and blame it on the owls.

totally agree kim.
when i was about 19 i was a switchboard operator at a medical clinic.
whenever someone was looking for pain meds or anything out of the ordinary it was sent to a triage nurse to screen the call and make sure it was legit even before the doctor.
if i had a person who was abusive or threatening regarding getting prescription meds or anything of that nature , there was a doctor on call who would deal with the issue.
EVERYBODY KNEW THERE WERE PEOPLE WITH DRUG ISSUES OUT THERE
even the cleaning crew.
are we really supposed to believe this doctor had no idea what he was there for ?
absolute baloney !!
this man murray is full of cr@p and whatever mj needed or thought he needed, murray was supposed to put his health and welfare first and foremost.
the man is a failure as a doctor but first and foremost a human being.
and imp i get tired of hearing it was mj fault..
i dont give a cr@p if he was screaming and demanding...i would hear that song ten times in a four hour shift ...
would you let a wealthy child play in traffic with no regard for their safety just because they are rich??
of course not ..
that is why you go to a doctor..rely on a professional...
cause it is an addiction...duh

imo, he was more dependent on the people who were professionally , and morally responsibly to show him the way out of what ever his issues were .who let him down...

if he jumped off a bridge in the middle of the night all alone i would say it couldnt have been prevented..
but he was supposed to be with someone who was a professional paid very well to put his patient first
