Lindsay Betty Ford Clash

Violent 911 Confrontation

4/1/2011 2:55 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has obtained the 911 call made by Lindsay Lohan during the nuclear argument she had with Betty Ford staffer Dawn Holland -- an argument Holland says turned violent.

It all went down on December 12, when the staffer -- Dawn Holland -- claims she busted Lindsay and two other girls jumping a wall at Betty Ford at around 1 AM. -- after curfew.  During the 911 call, Lindsay and Dawn were both on the line on separate phones.  Lindsay says, "She's freaking me out!"

When Dawn tried to make Lindsay take a breathalyzer, she says "Lindsay Lohan pushed me and hit me with the phone."  Dawn claims she knows the other two girls Lindsay was with were drunk, "reeking of alcohol."

During the call, Dawn claims she grabbed the phone to talk to the dispatcher ... but Lindsay ripped the phone from her hand ... spraining Dawn's wrist in the process.

As we first reported, the Riverside County District Attorney declined to prosecute Lindsay over the incident.

Im with lindsey on this one, as a rehab alum from many many treatment centers i can say that tech sounds like a nutcase. She is completely unprofessional and out of her mind. You would think at a place like Betty Ford they would have better more professional trained staff. Why the hell is she calling the sheriff in the first place. She should be calling her own boss first keeping it an inside thing. Not calling the cops. So dumb. And what the heck is a chemical dependancy "tech". That means nothing. You have chemical dependancy counselors that go to school ect. ect .but techs are ten dollar an hour nobody's, usually other addicts that can find jobs doing anything else. And she calls the cops saying "lindsey lohan this lindsey lohan that". I really fell bad for Lindsey to be honest with you. Its so sad how she is treated by people. Let the poor girl live.

Kirk at #737: "Why the hell is she [Dawn Holland] calling the sheriff in the first place. She should be calling her own boss first keeping it an inside thing."

Dawn Holland didn't call the cops. Lindsay called 911 to distract from the breathalyzer test, which Lindsay obviously did not want to take. Dawn only talked to 911 at some point when they were asking for her name and Lindsay didn't know it. Dawn was cut off at mid-sentence at one point. Lindsay does know how to create the drama. It seemed that things were rather hectic and happening rather quickly, so anybody at the facility that Dawn might have called would have arrived later. It was a "sober living" facility and probably such a ruckus was more unusual and thus less expected than elsewhere at the center.

I'm sure that if Lindsay had not called 911, it would have stayed inside BF with no problem. There is no indication that Dawn would have called 911 herself.

But once Lindsay called 911, the police had to investigate and it became a public record. Then TMZ found out about it, Lindsay & friends started trashing Dawn in public and calling for her to be fired (who knows what pressure sue-happy Dina was putting on BF), and then Dawn felt no inhibition about answering questions about the incident in self-defense, saying at one point that BF didn't have her back (and so she figured she would be fired anyway). It would have been much better if Dawn hadn't taken the TMZ bait, but it's also understandable why she felt it was justified to give her side of the incident as long as she didn't reveal medical records.

I can see why BF had to fire DH for violating their own confidentiality rules (much tougher than the feds), but if LL hadn't be so stupid about calling 911 for such a frivolous reason and then trying to shift the blame as always on someone else - we wouldn't be discussing this now, obviously.

" And what the heck is a chemical dependancy "tech". "

I don't think Dawn was "therapeutic staff" but just someone trained to administer the tests and handle the materials involved. She was called in by another person on staff to administer breathalyzer tests to all three of the miscreants (including Lindsay). The other two took the test, Lindsay didn't wanna.

@jwoolman Shawn Holley did not and would not make comments denying LIndsay is bipolar or anything on her mental status. She did not deny Lindsay is bipolar. She said she knew nothing of any misdiagnosis and that UCLA started fresh with a fresh diagnosis but would never specify what that diagnosis was. As I continue to say, UCLA released any information on LIndsay's condition and we do not know their position on her ADHD previous diagnosis or anything else they found and her lawyer didn't offer any information on that either.

@jwoolman there are other disorders that LIndsay possibly shows signs of like borderline or histrionic personality disorders. The borderline one is especially intriguing as one of the main points is fear of abandonment--that's one of LIndsay's chief characteristics. I overall agree that she is hiding a diagnosed mental condition, whatever it may be.

@stacy ines

Dawn Holland did NOT find Lindsay climbing over the wall. According to the incident report, Dawn was called to the house AFTER the patients were found climbing over the wall. She was called to the house to administer the breathalyzer. That was her sole job, which she was trying to carry out when Lindsay refused and called 911. Lindsay also made the call to 911, not Dawn.

Honestly, Lindsay Lohan deserves what she gets and more - The law has not caught up with her yet - Clearly, she has f-cked up along the way and continues to get away with everything - Must be Nice!! - Nice Job Media!! - Continue to give her that credit she does not deserve and reward her with bad press that she capitalizes on....

When you log on to AOL, it has the caption "Worst Celebrity Parents" with a big picture of Lindsay, Michael and Dina!!! LOL!

I agree ILG.

Besides, some of us aren't bashing HIM and yet he feels the need to insult others for saying negative things about Lindsay.
We're not attacking him personally so naturally some posters will call him out when he bashes them.

As I said once before, it's like insulting a poster because they're saying negative things about the POTUS. It doesn't affect you personally so why feel the need to insult others who simply don't agree with your POV?

BTW...still married. :)

"Just suppose, LL took the test? What COULD'VE happened? Lindsay DIDN'T take the test and look what happened!!"

I don't think anyone's denying that things worked better for Lindsay that way. She COULD have failed and been sent to jail. That's what SHOULD have happened unless she passed. Maybe it's harsh but SHE is the one going around breaking laws and rules and she has to be held responsible. Otherwise, justice has NOT been served.

All she did was pull a delaying tactic to buy herself time for the alcohol to pass through her system. Was it clever? Perhaps but it defeated the whole purpose of her being in rehab in the first place. Are you seriously suggesting that she's better off playing the system, exploiting loopholes, and getting away with it all and showing zero accountability for her shameful actions? That's just as bad as parents who are so afraid their kids will deservedly go to jail that they hide/destroy evidence to protect them. It's selfish, immoral, and teaches them absolutely bupkis.

I teach my own kids to make better decisions and to accept the consequences when they don't. That's how it should be.

To everyone saying "look she offered money right away" um, did you not hear "I'm going to sue you" coming from Holland right before that statement. She didn't say I'm going to charge you she said I'm going to sue you.

The one that um that um, that um refused... Holland doesn't sound very intelligent and sounds like she was not deescalating but escalating the issue.

Love how she has to use "Lindsay Lohan" instead of just "Lindsay". Sure Lindsay may have not been in the right but Holland didn't help herself or anyone in the situation.

Without video there isn't really much here... and what about the other two girls. They didn't do anything at all I suppose. No, no way, because it's too easy to target a celebrity and they have more money. Just saying. I don't know what happened but this doesn't prove to me that either Lohan or Holland was the victim or not.

If she grabbed the phone, therefore touching Lindsay, Lindsay had the right to defend herself and grab the phone back. The woman sounds like a psychopath.

No Holland didn't grab the phone. Holland was already talking on the phone to the 911 operator when the scuffle began meaning someone else started the scuffle for the phone and since Holland already had it and was talking when the scuffle happened she obviously didn't assault herself for the phone she was holding did she?

What initiated this seems to be the clash of attitudes. By the sounds of it, Lindsay immediately called 911 as the confrontation began to evolve to avoid any possible legal or harassment issue. She knew she would have something to fall back, the issue is not that she didn't want to take the test, either way in calling the cops she was gonna end up having to take it.

To bad you didn't, because if you had you would be in jail on assault charges and we wouldn't need to listen to your anonymous internet tough guy BS.

Oh please with all of the monday morning quarter backing of what went down in last nights conversation.

Dawn is nothing but an 8 times rehabbed drug addict herself, with obvious control and respect issues, employees as a lowly "tech", which i question whether it was even her job to be administering patients or playing night shift security in the first place. She sure doesn't seem to have been trained or equipped to deal with anything that went down after she stumbled upon Lindsay and the others sneaking back in shortly after their curfew time.

Oh and she can say all wants that she felt Betty Ford didn't have her back and that's the reason she went public, but it's undeniable that TMZ paid her between $10,000 and $15,000 for her story because she admitted as much herself to Radaronline.

Bitch has no credibility whatsoever and she'll never work in any kind of reputable clinical setting again. Hell by the time it was over Betty Ford had to fire her, release a press statement to that effect in their defense, and file a report to the CA AG Office informing them of a possible HIPAA violation to cover their ass.

Good riddance to her. She wasn't looking for money? lol Yeah right, Micheal Lohan claims he paid her off too, i wonder how much that was? What was you total haul between TMZ, the Lohans, your sprained wrist workers comp claim etc and whoever else you sold out to Dawn?

IMO she's nothing but a power tripping money grubbing recovering and relapsing 8 times over drug addict hood rat from the ghetto.
Relapse much Dawn? Why yes, yes you do... /rolls eyes

Yeah sure Lindsay's no saint but she was an addict in recovery and a client. She deserved far more profession care then she received from what is supposed to be one of the preeminent drug treatment centers in the U.S., what a clusterf*ck.
