Nate Dogg's Kids

We Wanna Be Like Our Dad

4/4/2011 6:40 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Nate Dogg's teenage sons are following in their father's footsteps -- telling TMZ, they're currently in the process of launching their own music careers ... in fact, they even plan to work with their "Uncle Snoop."

15-year-old Naijiel and 18-year-old Lil Nate revealed their game plan in L.A. yesterday ... and gave us a sample of the goods to boot.

Not bad.

You do know that they're going to blow through the inheritance on gold chains, pimpin' out their rides, and crack right? Yes, they'll probably be just like their fater... dead at a young age.

#31: wow u really need some grammer lessions.. and u probably are a broke ass who doesn't have a job or n e thing better to do w/ur life then go on TMZ and hate on all the rich ppl.. and sry but Will Smith n Nate Dogg has more talent than u will ever have. if u haven't checked recently..more blacks r making $ rite now cuz they know how to use their brain and find ways to make $$$.rap is a music and music is a way to express urself.. ppl thought folk music was singing and most of them are like rappers that just talk and express themselfs too. Nate was a singer n talented in so many ways and these kids have other talents too but it doesn't stop them from trying everything to make big $$. ppl keep talking, its going to be funny when they r making bank doing things w/their lives and ur still going to b hating on any rich person trying to make $ cuz obviously if u were rich ur time would b important than talking sh*t on TMZ. my condolences to Nate's fam and i wish the best of luck to those handsome and multi-talented young men! i'm sure ur dad raised u guys to be great humble and caring men like he was!! <3

Why shouldn't they take their shot at making easy money performing rap? All they have to do is rhyme or say stuff in rhythm, memorize words and lip-sync. The words don't even all have to be in an English dictionary. They can speak Ebonics. They have their father's name and they have connections and they don't have to be the most handsome guys in the world. Snoop isn't and he's a huge rap star. They don't have to learn how to sing. Most rap stars talk, they don't sing. Odds are they can make more money performing rap than doing anything else they're qualified for. Go for it guys! Or they can become medical research scientists and cure cancer, but they'd make less money.

You sound stupid. They need to be educated regardless. There are plenty of rappers out there that don't make good money because they aren't that good. Only the exceptional ones have staying power and are the ones who makes loads of cash.

How sad for them to lose their dad at such a young age, not to mention seeing him struggle for the past couple years after his strokes. I hope those kids go to college so they have something to fall back on.

I agree. Because it's certainly not gauranteed that they can or will make it in the hip hop industry. And if nothing else they should go to college to experience all that campus life has to offer. It was one of the best times of my life, getting involved, becoming self aware, learning new things, making true friends that last the test of time. Because lord knows that there are gonna be hangers on & yes men around them just as long as the money is flowing who couldn't care less if they crash and burn.
