Gone are the days when men generally were the only drunk drivers -- these days, women are just as likely as men to drink and drive and with their children in the vehicle to boot. What's frustrating about this trend is that many women such as Ms. Ford or any well-off lady for that matter, could have just called a cab or assigned a designated driver. It's actually lucky that she didn't drive bad enough to get into an accident -- she had her son onboard. Alcohol is one of the leading causes of motor vehicle accidents.

I hope she goes to jail for a very, very long time and gets in trouble not only for DUI, but for endangering the welfare of a minor. There are so many good points made in your comments, like the fact that she has enough money to hire a driver, but chose not too. I don't think I've ever seen someones eyes SO glassy! She must have been BOMBED! She needs to straighten up her act for her child's sake, she's not 21 anymore.
