Rod Stewart's vicious yellow Viper is going on display tomorrow ... UNCAGED -- seven years after his gardener allegedly went nuts ... and stole the singer's sports car right out of his Florida garage.
It's all part of a "Celebrity Super Cars" exhibit by the Volo Auto Museum in Chicago -- running from April 8-10 -- and we're told ... it's the first ever public display of the car since it was stolen back in 2004.
According to sources, Volo purchased the 2004 Dodge Viper and kept it locked up in their vault ... until now -- just in time for Rod's Chicago concert with Stevie Nicks on April 9th.
FYI, the gardener got 11 years in prison -- but the stolen Viper was the least of his problems ... dude was also charged with burglary and attempted sexual battery for unrelated offenses.
