Charlie Sheen in NYC -- From Good to Bad

4/9/2011 11:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen cruised into Radio City Music Hall tonight sporting a New York Yankees hat and shirt -- but his Big Apple debut went sour fast.

Sheen took the stage around 8:37 PM ET to a semi-standing ovation. The crowd was mostly on his side ... but booed him when he said he quit drugs. Security tossed out a few hecklers early on.

Charlie invited "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre to join him on stage at Radio City for Sunday night's show to "work this s**t out. Of course I want my job back man!"

Our sources connected to "Men" tell us producers will never let Sheen back on the show. Sorry, Charlie.

Sheen told barely coherent stories about the different hotels he stayed in, his incident at the plaza, locking himself in an airplane bathroom with a seven-gram cocaine rock, and how he once performed CPR on a model in a heroin coma. Who hasn't?

But by the end, Charlie had lost the crowd. The show ended abruptly -- roughly 30 minutes shorter than Sheen's shows in Ohio -- to a mix of boos and cheers ... but the boos carried the night.

Charlie's closer -- "I love you New York ... you're the best crowd ever. Well, some of you."

On his way out, Charlie was met by several fans and autograph seekers, but he seemed focused on just getting out of there.

New York Police say they're ready for Charlie Sheen's live stage shows

UPI News Service, 04/08/2011

New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says his department is prepared to deal with any possible trouble connected to Charlie Sheen's live stage shows.

Sheen, who has long battled addictions to drugs and alcohol, made headlines last year when he trashed a posh Manhattan hotel room during a visit to the Big Apple.

The actor, who was recently fired from his sitcom "Two and a Half Men" because of his erratic behavior, is back in town to perform his touring one-man show, "My Violent Torpedo of Truth: Defeat is Not an Option," at Radio City Music Hall this weekend.

"We have a big police force, we're ready for him," the New York Daily News quoted Kelly as saying Friday.

Sheen was heckled and nearly booed off the stage when his show debuted last weekend in Detroit. He reportedly has retooled his act and earned better audience receptions in Chicago and Cleveland.

Mila Kunis Grossed Out By Charlie Sheen's Offer

quote:

Apparently, Mila has no interest in becoming Charlie’s third goddess. A friend of hers said, “Obviously Charlie wanted to name someone who would create publicity for his tour, but the thought of it grosses Mila out.”

Well, at least ~someone~ in Hollywood is telling it how it is. Someone else besides Betty White, that is. And, hip hip hurrah that its young Hollywood now so the folks that dismiss Betty White because of her age will have to work come up with some other criticism now.

I [heart] New York. I had high hopes the NYers wouldn't put up with his rip-off show like the sheep that Chicago and Cleveland proved themselves to be. Fingers crossed that NY comes through.

And, you can bet your bottom dollar that if Chuck Lorre doesn't come "work this **** out" with Charlie that once again it will be "all Lorre's fault".

Charlie may be a high school drop out - but he does have a few strokes of "genius" - one of them being the ability to create a good set up. Its like the old legal saw " When did you stop beating your wife?" How does someone answer that question without incriminating themselves? Damed if you do, and damned if you don't.

I'm telling you - the arbitration with WB & Lorre is not going well for Charlie.
