Gay Rights Group SLAMS Kobe -- 'What A Disgrace'

4/13/2011 11:43 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Kobe Bryant's homophobic outburst "perpetuates a culture of discrimination and hate" ... so says a gay rights group which has deemed last night's incident as "horribly offensive."

TMZ spoke with the Human Rights Campaign -- who told us, "What a disgrace for Kobe Bryant to use such horribly offensive and distasteful language, especially when millions of people are watching."

The group adds, "Hopefully Mr. Bryant will recognize that as a person with such fame and influence, the use of such language not only offends millions of LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] people around the world, but also perpetuates a culture of discrimination and hate that all of us, most notably Mr. Bryant, should be working to eradicate."

As we previously reported, Kobe appeared to have mouthed the words "f**king f**got" towards an NBA ref last night after he was hit with a technical foul.

Grow a skin. Remember, it is the LGBT that has chosen to live life on the fringe. You're just mad that the rest of the normal world does not accept your way of life. It is the LGBT that is pushing this lifestyle agenda as the norm.
I have the right to my opinion and beliefs, and no matter how much you kick and scream, the mainstream will never accept you.
Under pressure to be politically correct, and to avoid any "hate crimes", we accept you in public, but in private you disgust us.
Sex between two men or women is REVOLTING.

Why do some comments fall under freedom of speech and others dont? Everyone has a right to an opinion and a right to express it. Stick and stones people. Get over yourselves. Grow a backbone.

The fact is that deviants always try to justify their actions by bullying, IT'S NOT WORKING SO give it up , what they practice is unhealthful and a dangerous lifestyle , full of sad , unGAY people.

For the history of the world , the queer we will always have with us.

Yea, go up to a gay person and say that with the intent to hurt: that's offensive. BUT, this is NOT the 'N' word, people. It's simply not the same. If a white basketball player (for example)got fouled by another white basketball player and walked away like "F**k'n N-word..then THAT'S a story. I'm not tring to disregard the feelings of the gay community, but it's almost like the gay community has "penis envy" for the 'N' word and are tryin to relate by forcing an issue. It's not the same.

OMG!!!!!!! lol.. really??? its all competition, and im sure the ref did it on purpose giving him the technical foul.. These Ref's now do what they want since the nba has their backs, they are just like the cops, always covering up for them.. Anyways back to Kobe, aka "MVP" Human Rights Campaign for LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] people are just looking for attention, nothing against them , but come on , like that gay guy said in one of the comments, they use it upon each other all day... This is just another story which was blown up cause they got nothing else to do... LAKERS 3PEAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flyboy, speaking of a horrible argument, what planet are you on? You in fact just defeated your own argument. Since sexual orientation is a "mental/affectional/sexual attraction," meaning a feeling, then it would be incorrect to try and compare that with an immutable non-transferable characteristic such as race or gender. Also, saying "gay is gay" would be equivalent to saying schizophrenic is schizophrenic. Just because one suffers from a condition, does not make it "normal" or natural. As you point out however, sexual "orientation" is not defined by sex acts, which means it is in fact a behavior, something we all have the capacity to control (unlike race or gender). It must be noted though that this behavior ultimately culminates in an unnatural sex act. Unnatural is stressed given the fact the homosexuals lack the capacity to reproduce. To not acknowledge that, is an ignorant way of thinking.

What society condemns is actually quite relevant. Where do you think laws come from? Society as a whole determines what is socially acceptable and socially unacceptable as it impacts the greater good of society. This has been the case all throughout human history. What a ridiculous assertion on your part.

To claim that homosexuality is "rampant" in nature is quite a stretch. In fact, in the United States alone, recent studies show that a nominal 1% - 3% of the population identify themselves as homosexuals. Again, given the fact that homosexuals cannot reproduce, it is clearly unnatural. Homsexuality has been shown to be very destructive to society. This is illustrated from the recent push to destroy the santity of marriage, children facing identity crisis due to a lack of structure from proper parenting that teaches them the difference between male and female gender roles (people thinking homosexual behavior is "OK"), the significantly higher HIV transmission rates in the homosexual community vs. heterosexual, etc., etc. That isn't to mention the actual physical harm that results from unnatural sex acts.

Disagreement with the perversion of homosexual behavior is not a personality disorder. That is laughable. Typical homosexual activist tactic though...keep saying it over and over, louder and louder, and eventually ignorant people will begin to believe it.
