Charlie Sheen to Warners: We DID Have Discussions!

4/14/2011 5:31 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen's lawyer is firing back at  Warner Bros., telling TMZ its allegations that there were "no discussions" about Charlie returning to "Two and a Half Men" are "absolutely false."

Charlie Sheen

Legal pit bull Marty Singer tells TMZ, "There have been discussions as late as Tuesday, and all parties have been involved -- Warner Bros., CBS, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen."

And, Singer says, "Charlie Sheen was recently approached by a third party to resolve this matter."  Singer did not identify the third party.

Singer tells TMZ, the Warner Bros. letter -- which we posted earlier on TMZ -- is actually a reaction to a "blistering letter" Singer fired off to WB, claiming Warner Bros. violated its contract with Charlie by refusing to send him an accounting statement and payment in December, 2010.  Singer says Warner Bros. owes Charlie money for season 7 and earlier but hasn't anted up.

Singer was adamant -- "Charlie did not lie about the discussions.  There WERE discussions."

"And, Singer says, "Charlie Sheen was recently approached by a third party to resolve this matter." Singer did not identify the third party." The third party was the warlock - of Charlie's mind, no doubt.

2.5 men is a has been show. Charlie could do better than a sit com at this point. I am pretty sure most everyone realises this now. Even Charlie.

I wonder how it feels to go from "winning" to DONE? Charlie is going to have to do a lot of ass kissing before it is over.

@koko

Not sure about WB, but CBS and its boss sure would love to have their golden mine back in full force;)

They said - he said - whatever - the point is that WB has decided that they don't want Charlie back and have put it in writing - and its been made public. The end.

I believe that WB's statement was saying that there were no discussions about his return, I am sure that they had to talk about other issues like finances.

I just hope these discussions did not involve Sheen as an actual participant because his perception is clearly skewed.

LOL...In Charlies damaged mind he thinks discussions over being paid severence are really discussions about him returning to the show...LMAO. Never good to have a nut without handlers to shut him up. And then a lawyer talking nonsense that 'THERE WERE DISCUSSIONS'....lol...sure there were. Just had nothing to do with Charlie returning. As if they'd ever have that nut back now. He's been reduced to kissing small venue audiences just so they won't boo him off stage.

How do you know when a lawyer is lying?

His mouth is moving.

There is a reason that old joke has been going around so long. More true than not.

Finances are closely linked to the job he lost and feels that deserves to have back, along with the rest of the cast and crew.

@koko, Yes, that would be a great idea. Maybe Charlie should further develop his stand-up comedy since that's going so well on his tour. Maybe Charlie Sheen will become a successful stand-up comic like George Carlin, Robin Williams or Richard Pryor. After all, Charlie Sheen was a famous stand-up comedian before he became a movie and a TV actor, right? Good luck with that.

And maybe Charlie should do a new Sit-Com on TV, not with WB, of course. I'm sure the insurance companies are salivating about that prospect. The cost of insuring CS for a sit-com series would probably equal a quarter of the cost of the entire production.

And what kind of role could CS play? Maybe a lying, cheating, crack-taking, alcohol-abusing, woman-hitting, dog-starving, furniture-wrecking, trash-talking, aging, promiscuous bachelor who's losing his teeth, his hair, his children and his mind? Heck, Charlie wouldn't even have to act!

Charlie doesn't have the looks to pull this roll off anymore. It was already becoming a BIG stretch that he would hook up with hot women, even with his successful jingle income. The only way he'd get girls like that in his current condition, he'd have to be a billionaire.

It must be pretty frustrating, Charlie, for nobody to believe you when you're practically begging them to. It's almost as if you have a credibility issue ...

Lets face it, Charlie is a cash cow for CBS, Warners, and Lorre.
Jon Cryer is great, but can't carry the show alone. Unless they find a suitable replacement or they get officially canceled by CBS, Warners and Lorre could be looking a another suit being brought by CBS for not fulfilling their contract. Smart bet would be to "make nice" with Charlie and get the last season made, and walk away.
I for one think they have been talking with Charlie, but the thorn in this whole mess seems to be lying directly in Lorre's side. It has been said for many years bye many people that Lorre can be and is a Prima Donna, it's his way or no way. Could that be why he was fired from Roseanne and Dharma and Greg got canceled?
Just saying~
