The Game

Banned from Canada Over Gang Ties

4/21/2011 6:08 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The Game was detained in Canada for several hours yesterday, TMZ has learned, before his ass got deported back to the U.S. -- and we're told, it's all because of the rapper's alleged gang affiliation.

A rep for Substance Entertainment Group -- the promotion company behind Game's tour in Canada -- tells TMZ, the tour promoter got a call from Canadian Customs while Game was on the plane on his way to Canada.

We're told customs informed the promoter that Game would be denied entry "due to new information received that Game is affiliated with organized crime and is an active member of the Bloods street gang."

The rep claims Game was blindsided by the last-minute red flag -- telling us, concert organizers had secured all permits and approval weeks ago to get Game into the country.

Bad news for everyone who bought a ticket to his upcoming Canadian shows -- tour's cancelled.

Y'all don't start Patting Canada and our "STRICT" rules on the back just yet. We've got more LANDED immigrants here with NO proper papers that are gang affliated. The only time the CANADIAN government puts their foot down with stuff like this is when it's in the best interest to get press and with Big name celebrities. We are NO DIFFERENT than California, trust me!!

Notice that this take-a-street-thug-noise-crap-and-call-it-musical-art gang psycho is using LA Dodgers insignia for his colors. He's got the hat and tattoo on his cheek. And the media wonders why gangbangers attend LAD home games and beat people up. No wonder why MLB has taken over the Doyers. Commish Selig should send the team back to Brooklyn where it belongs. TMZ, there's a story in there somewhere. Get on it.

He's about as ganster as Albert from CB4. These rappers aren't real gansters, because A coporate Amerika won't deal with them B real gangsters don't rap, they're out wreaking havoc and C just because you hang out with them doesn't make you one. The word is wannabe.

Leave it to the canadians to screw their economy out of millions of dollars due to their hatred of americans. We should ban them same way they ban US citizens. God knows we can do without any more of their crap music and performers. If he doesn't have a criminal record they have no reason to ship him back. Those 'ties' could be real blood ties. What then? He's there for work purposes, not to enjoy a wasteland of strip malls and frozen tundra.

Keep your thugs on your side, we'll keep our POS on our side. In the meantime shut your hole.

I'm actually quite amazed at the amount of people in here that haven't ever heard of Game. I'm even more amazed that he was declined entry at the last minute due to "new evidence linking him with the Bloods street gang". New evidence? New? He's been a Blood affiliated since birth, and a member since he was young - his brother is the leader of the Cedar Block Piru Bloods. Not to mention the fact Game is regularly seen with the red bandana, as well as the fact his upcoming album is called 'RED Album'. Good lord, new evidence? It's just so laughable, but so avoidable as well. I just feel sorry for all those fans who've been let down because of the lack of organisation from the Canadian border officials it seems - sure, deny him entry, but do so several weeks prior.

PS: You can wear blue even if you're a blood just so long as it isn't a blue bandana. You have to be comfortable with your own status to be able to wear blue, and Game has always been like that. He's nothing to prove anymore, and he seems a genuinely nice guy from when I met him - but controversy sells so he's just not hiding his affiliation, and he never has done. Even back to pre and G-Unit days. In Lloyd Banks 'Warrior' video, the yet to be debuted artist Game can be seen in the background from time to time, also wearing his red bandana.

Being a blood member obviously doesn't mean he's shooting people, selling drugs, or anything of the sort - the closest he'll come to illegal activities thesedays is probably smoking weed every now and then I imagine. He's moved on in his life thanks to success, but his roots are still with the Blood gang, as that's essentially his family.

People may not like it, but they're often very ignorant to rap, and therefore anything remotely affiliated to it, including the artists and how they are as human beings.

Apologies for rambling on a little bit, but with so many previous comments, I hope mine still holds at least some relevancy as opposed to the usual "he's black, he's got tattoos - he must be in a gang durr".

Oh and btw screwing our economy out of millions of dollars isn't even the case, but it just goes to show we can't be bought, we don't care how many millions of dollars one of your thugs could potentially bring us. A thug is a thug, plain and simple. Morals over money, have you ever heard of such a thing? Probably not.
