Kentucky Derby VIP Crappers -- $18,000 a Person

5/6/2011 4:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Taking a leak at the Kentucky Derby could cost you $18,000 ... because that's what several companies paid per person to reserve a spot on the corporate pavillion -- and TMZ has pics of their VIP crappers.

Here's how the math breaks down -- according to a sales rep for the Derby, 7 companies paid $450,000 each for a spot in the swanky Trackside Village on Turn One ... where toilet experts posted up 2 VIP restroom trailers. That's $3.15 million total for all the companies.

Trackside Village's capacity is capped at 175 people -- and $3,150,000 divided by 175 equals $18,000 a person.

Sure, that figure also includes catering and drinks ... but let's not kid ourselves ... the toilets are obviously the main attraction.

List the 7 companies that could have spent that money better...like on jobs, lower priced products, better pay for the peons, etc.

Those are quite some high class restrooms. If more porta potties looked like that, more people would actually use them instead of holding it.

I've been to the Preakness a few times and if the situation toilet-wise is at all simalar at the Derby, $18,000 will look like a bargain just to avoid the porta potties. I'll just say they get a lot of use and the weather can be quite warm in May and June. Draw your own conclusions.

I've been to events where they have something that is really similar to these restrooms. They are really, really nice and I think worth every penny.

The area talked about is one big suckfest for corporations ... toilets are the least in regards to wasted $$$. If they showed the toilets in the infield that would make some news.

If sense were common everyone would have it.

Rich or not whoever pays for that is an idiot. These people care about horse racing about as much as I do, & after it's all over they'll look at their bank book & say "I paid tens of thousands for that?"

No wonder they're always going broke.
