Lindsay Lohan -- So Far So Good

5/11/2011 6:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Just a few hours after her sentencing ... Lindsay Lohan promptly showed up for her court-ordered community service at the Downtown Women's Center in L.A.

Linds is chipping away at the 480 hours of community service she has to complete ... not to mention the 3 years of probation.

But at least ... she looks damn good doing it.

"Stop celebrity bullying!!!! Unless it's Oksana and she's really not a celebrity so she's fair game."

OK, Rocky. I just have to know. Why the double standard? Why is it "fair game" to bully everyone BUT celebrities? What makes them so special that they should be held immune? If anything, I'd say the reverse is true. Celebrities make a CAREER out of being in the spotlight and therefore are subject to comments both positive AND negative...or maybe you think that comments regarding celebrities should be censored so that the public only sees their "good" side.

I'm certainly no fan of Oksana but if someone's counting on their popularity with the public to make them money, the public has every right to voice their opinions - good or bad. Otherwise, stay out of the public eye because that's the price of fame.

You can't have your cake, eat it too, and then decide you're not paying because you expected better.

Rogue, the seeker, and whoever else might be interested.
Let me tell you a bit about what girls learn in school (and they learn this really young, so I'm inclined to think it's genetic along the female side):
When girls congregate and try to be social, there is this wonderful dynamic called a "clique" that can form. Sort of like a tornado in that you have to have certain conditions present and also certain personalities.
But the thing about a clique is that no-matter how wonderful the girls in the group think everyone is, only a couple of girls can be the "top dogs" and in order to preserve their ability to be "top dog" whenever someone who they have designated to fulfill a lower (lets's say subservient type position or even is just not one of the special two or three) raises their hand and either questions how things are or just isn't "playing by the rules" (that the head of the clique has set, and never gotten agreement on except between the couple at the top), then all sorts strange behavior comes out.
Behavior like trying to keep someone in line by accusing them of not playing nice, or of trying to squash their free speech, or accusing them of trying to be in control, etc. even if what they say is patently false, among other things.
It doesn't seem to be a guy thing.
----------------------------------------------------------

Pony I also learned this LONG ago but I appreciate YOU spelling this out for obvious reasons. I can tell you guys don't operate like this, unless they're in prison I guess but normal healthy ones don't. I have some "notes" from the bashing board and what's funny is they do thing they're in control. They put avatars up that irritate people, and come to these boards to "police" people and check story's and generally keep an eye on things. Well why would an adult care what someone is saying about your"persona" etc.

This is Dina Lohan behavior being allowed to be played out on TMZ. They are now identified with a moniker and assume everyone knows who they are etc. and are worried about their image then they cry wolf to TMZ and I know exactly who now. Don't talk about me or else....or keep digging a hole, empty mindless threats that make them feel powerful.

Worry about yourselves people and when you put personnel information on any internet board you're inviting trouble in. It's a chance all of us takes and fortunately I think the true crazies have much better places to troll and try and steal information than TMZ. However, some people have left the barn door open and they ought to shut it..... That's not a threat it's trying to help some people out.......

Anyway, it's a joke and it won't last long. It's a major violation of free speech and if I went after every person who said a had a mans pole in my mouth TMZ would get rid of that report button.

The crawfish were rocking tonight, PEACE!

John Smith right???? Then they leave themselves open because this is the world wide web we're talking about with alot of very public information that is easy to look up and not against the law to do so. If this were one of my family members doing this I'd say the buck stops with you. YOU have a responsibility to ensure you remain anonymous and once you fail to do that shame on you!!! I'm out for the night.......

Rocky,

I totally agree with you (don't say that often)about posting personal information on the Internet...particularly on anonymous chatboards. However, just because someone posts something personal doesn't give everyone the right to use that information to hurt them.

It's not a violation of "free speech". People often claim their First Ammendment rights are violated but unless the government is doing the violating, that's simply not true. The First Ammendment only protects you from having THE GOVERNMENT censure your speech. Private individuals and corporations can and will do this often. For example, your boss can fire you for saying or posting negative things about him or her. Technically, you're allowed to say whatever you want about them but only at the risk of losing your job. If you insult them, they don't have to keep you and if you claim freedom of speech, you're not going to win.

This is a privately-owned forum. TMZ can censure or allow posts as they see fit and there's nothing you can do about it except leave if you're not happy. That's your option.

I do find it odd, however, that you're such a staunch defender of Miss Lohan (who is anything but innocent) and yet you have no qualms about insulting an innocent, unborn child who has done nothing at all to you or anyone ever. That's just another double standard you seem to operate by.

I was hoping you'd enlighten me about your first double standard concerning why it's not okay to post negative comments about celebrities but you're fine with similar comments made about others. I'd really like to know your thought processes on that. As it stands, I suspect you simply bash people you don't like but won't allow others to do the same if the subject is someone you yourself like because you hold your opinions as being superior.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360... and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, EatBids.com
