The Sitch's Dad: He Wouldn't Help Pay My Medical Bills

5/11/2011 4:40 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has learned the MAIN reason The Situation's father decided to launch his expletive-filled campaign against his son on the Internet yesterday ... and it all comes down to medical insurance.

One of Frank Sorrentino's business associates tells TMZ, Frank had asked Sitch for some help making his monthly medical insurance payments recently -- and the "Jersey Shore" star flat out refused.

According to sources, The Situation not only said no -- but told his dad to "move to Florida and go on welfare."

We're told Frank was pretty adamant about repaying his son anyway -- using money from a business deal they allegedly made to develop real estate in NYC ... but the Sitch never gave him a chance.

0511_sitch_dad_mini2Frank was outraged by his son's rejection -- and responded by RIPPING the Sitch into pieces online yesterday in multiple angry videos.

Sitch released a statement earlier today, saying he is "extremely saddened" by his father's actions.

Here is what COULD be going on. Mikes dad may be blowing his money and decided to hit Mike up for some. I'm sorry, but if something like that is the case, I don't blame Mike for saying no. Or... Maybe he and his dad don't really have a relationship to begin with and Mike feels he owes his dad nothing. None of us will know the truth and all we can do assume.

When we make it everyone wants some.

Everyone has a legit issue.

But this is tentative money - Sitch has to be careful with it.

Entertainment industry money comes quick and goes quick - you can wake up one morning and it could be gone.

I don't endorse ripping Sitch and for saying no, not right now.

Oh GTFO! The douche runs around buying Bentleys and test driving Lambo's etc. and partying all the time. This talentless motherf*cker is going to be so washed up and broke in 5 years it isn't even funny.

But yeah God forbid he throw a little money his fathers way to help him out while he's got it. After all "his money is tentative, he has to be careful with it".

I hope Frank scored enough off those two tapes to pay his health insurance off for the rest of the year.

LOL i guess the Sitch didn't see this coming when he told his father to f*ck off and go collect welfare. No need Sitch, there are plenty of other ways for your dad to make a fast buck, just like you would you using f'n douchebag.

The bigger question is, Who would want to have "Sitch's" appendage in their mouths? Seriously?

First of all, if 'the Confrontation' really wanted to rip into his son he would have immediately explained what went down. All he did was tell a few amusing stories about what a d*uche the kid was and still is. So what. Give Papa Frank a break. He didn't tear into him bad.

He spoiled him and protected him and what thanks does he get? His POS son goes out and buys a Bentley for himself and won't give a dime to help pops pay his medical bills. His show will fail without papa Frank in the picture. I'll only watch if he's on the show.

Sorry you have to go through this Mike. It's very sad. Typically parents should support their kids if necessary, not the other way around. He must be very embarrassed that his own father can't take care of himself. People show their true colors over money. Even if he said what he did to his father about the welfare comment, blah blah blah, he still shouldn't have made it public. Mike has more class than him. Make bank in Italy Mike and be generous with your other, more deserving, family members.

There are usually two sides to stories like these. I have been helping out my brother-in-law for years. A used car. A new refrigerator. A new home air conditioner. The last one was a $7,000 new roof. Now the plumbing problems. Finally I just sat down with him and very nicely told him that I can't just blindly keep on giving him money, and that we need to discuss his financial situation and ways he may be able to reorganize his debt to free up money, etc., etc. Blow up! You don't care, blah, blah, you are selfish, blah, blah. This situation dude may have already helped and feels like he is being taken advantage of. It happens all the time.

First of all, if the dad had the means to repay him, he could have just used the money to pay the medical bills. But second of all, this is like the #1 scam family members use to get on the payroll when someone in the family becomes famous/makes a lot of money. They just need help paying this one bill **sad face** - then they expect the payments to keep coming... forever.
And how did the dad have the financial means to venture into a real estate business, but can't pay his medical bills?

In hindsight, as initially sad as it seems that a son wouldn't help his dad, the dad proved that Sitch was perversely right... I mean, why would a son pay for a dad that considers his son a money receptacle and nothing more, so it appears?

Shame on you sitch. Karma.

He said no, get over it and move one. Just because he's your son doesn't make him obligated.

Putting his business in the street sure isn't going to change his mind.

What's his father going to do next, release baby picture of him on the potty.

How childish!

Frank Sorrentino is a despicable bitter man. He put up a website to embarrass his entire family. He should be ashamed of himself, hope he will encounter slander suits from the cast of "The Jersey Shore".
