Botox Mom:

5/19/2011 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The woman who went on "Good Morning America," claiming she injected her 8-year-old daughter with Botox, now swears under oath ... she made the entire story up for a few hundred bucks.

Kerry Campbell Botox

TMZ has obtained a sworn declaration written by Sheena Upton, who claims she was recently approached by the British tabloid, The Sun, and asked "to play the role of Kerry Campbell" for a story called "I Give My 8-Year-Old Daughter Botox."

Upton now confesses The Sun paid her $200 adding, "I was provided with the story, instructions and a script to follow for a recorded interview."

After the story ran in The Sun, Upton says she was approached by "Good Morning America" and "Inside Edition" and claims she was offered  "a large fee" to appear on camera.  She went on both shows and re-told her story.

After the interview, child welfare officials took Upton's daughter away.

Upton now admits in her declaration, "The truth is I have never given my daughter Botox, nor allowed her to get any type of waxing, nor is she a beauty pageant contestant."

Upton says professionals agree with her declaration, because on May 17, she took her daughter to the UCLA Medical Center and says, "After my daughter received a full medical exam, the results indicated that she has not ever received treatments including Botox or other such injections."

We're told the UCLA reports were forwarded to child welfare officials, who then returned Upton's daughter to her, with the provison that a cousin would stay with her and the child for the time being.

As for "Good Morning America" -- sources connected with Upton claim she was promised $10,000 to appear.  We do not know how much she was offered for "Inside Edition."

As for the declaration -- signed under penalty of perjury -- we're told Upton wrote it so her lawyer can secure full rights to custody of her daughter.

An ABC News insider tells TMZ, "There is no truth to the story about compensation, but they did pay a broker no more than $10,000 to license photos."

UPDATE 8:20 AM PT: An ABC News spokesman tells us, "We have just seen the sworn declaration on TMZ written by Sheena Upton, a.k.a. Kerry Campbell , and are vigorously investigating her most recent statement and rapidly shifting story."

The rep continues, "Good Morning America has repeatedly questioned Upton, members of her family, and other sources who again and again stood by the Botox story."

"Good Morning America is solely interested in getting to the truth and will share with our audience any new information that we find."

So, the good news is this slob is not a child abuser; she is just a fraud. So, how many years is she going to be locked up for defrauding GMA and Inside Edition?

Regardless of what the truth might be, she is teaching her daughter to lie for money, to scam people into believe false information for profit, to be deceiving and all of this is being teach by an adult, her own mother who suppose to be teaching her how to be an honest individual and all for $200 from the Sun.

Nothing about the video is believeable! I can't believe GMA and Inside Edition fell for it in the first place. Do you really believe that child is a pageant contestant with that dress and makeup? How about he rposture in the chair? Maybe I'm wring but I thought Botox stopped wrinkles by paralyzing the muscles so the wrinkle can't form in the first palce. Too much botox leads to a stone face... NOTHING in that story was believable. The child stumbl;ed over the words because she didn't know what she was talking about. The mother had to feed her the word "wrinkle" for her to answer the question! Shame on you GMA and IE! You are fools!

hey, all you stone throwing mothers out there need to shut up!! it obvious you're too stupid! she didn't make anything up according to the story she was given a script to follow and some money. if anyone should be to blame it's the media whores out there putting people up to this kind of trash for money. and they know that there is a lot of trailer trash people out there that will pay money to read this crap! she didn't hurt anyone and all she did was make some easy money. and maybe that money went to put some food on the table for her daughter. you bitches should be the one's that should be ashamed of yourselves for buying the SUN newspaper and financing this crap!! Now you woman throwing stones go home and tend to your kids and stop judging others....

Regardless if it was made up or not,Child Welfare should never give the child back to her. She's a monster. How can anyone get on national television & lie abt somethin like that.Let alone put their baby girl up to lying & exploiting her for the country to see? Even if she didn't do it,who is to say that she may not eventually. They need to bury her under the prison! And the tabloids & talk shows responsible for paying this woman need to be sued!

Typoking, if you think that you "better your child's life" by humiliating them on national television, then you don't deserve to be a parent any more than this woman does. Even if she wasn't lying, how do you think a child feels to have to go on national television and say that her mother gives her botox injections? If it were true that she was being given these injections, I'm sure she wouldn't want anyone else to know about it because most SENSIBLE mothers simply do not do such ridiculous things! Having to broadcast to the entire world that your mother is a nutcase and then having to admit that your mother is also a LIAR can do the child ZERO good! This isn't just one "little white lie" as you claim, it's a lie that did a lot of harm to her child! Learn the difference!

If the woman needs money to take care of her child, let her earn it through LEGITIMATE means! Yes, it can be a hard to get a job, but abusing and exploting your child is NEVER an acceptable answer! It's her job as a mother to find a way to take care of the child that isn't going to cause the child more harm! Somehow, other women in trying situations seem to manage it so there's absolutely no reason why she can't as well.

You criticize DHS for taking children away on cases of suspected child abuse. Did you ever bother to consider why exactly that is? It's because the risks associated with ignoring a suspected case of child abuse is greater than the risks associated with temporarily removing the child from the home until the home can be assessed and determined as being safe for the child! Sometimes they get it wrong, but it's always better to err on the side of caution, even if YOU don't think so. Your opinion on the matter is way too biased by your past negative experience for you to be objective about the system as a whole. The system is the way it is because it HAS to be that way or a lot more kids can get hurt much worse than you were, so get over it already. Your little rant about the DHS made it perfectly clear exactly who you're mad at (and it's not the people commenting about this woman)!

How do you get "approached" by a British Tabloid? She is probably still lying. She probably approached them with this crap and they ran with it. $200.00 is BS. She definitely has mental health issues or she would have known that saying or doing what she did would have consequences and the authorities would be questioning her.

@ caligirl; the magazine's aren't the only ones. what about ABC NEWS. they paid $10,000 for the story. wth?

It's abuse no matter how you look at it. She is placing blame on someone else because she in a sense got caught, if she was looked at in a positive manner she would not have said a word. I guess if someone offers her enough money she would sell her daughter.

Well she looks like a real mental giant!

And might I add, Renee and Topoking, that there never fails to be an abundance of excuses for those who rely on them to try to justify their bad behavior! I'm sure there are PLENTY of mothers out there who are every bit as desperate for money as you seem to think that this woman is, and yet they're not selling out their children for it! Now why do you suppose that is? Is it just because they didn't happen to think of this scheme themselves, or is it because they're actually decent human beings who DON'T EXPLOIT THEIR CHILDREN FOR MONEY NO MATTER HOW BADLY THEY NEED IT?!

So for $200 you presented yourself as child abusing, low life, terminally stupid trailer trash mom. What would you do for $1000?

In my eyes not a very good mother, any punishment she recieves she deserves, shame on her.To put her little girl in that situation...

The mom doesn't seem to concerned with looks when it comes to herself. Hair slicked back, over weight and not much make up if any. The way she is wearing her hair she looks down syndrome.
