sc1432: When the heart beats too fast, too slow, stops beating, etc. - those are the things that make up a heart attack but the ME wouldn't necessarily find a diseased heart. That would only show up at autopsy if the patient was known to have heart disease or if heart disease was found at the time of autopsy. However, the heart can go into arrest for other harder-to-see reasons. A life-threatening issue with the lungs where you can't get blood flow to the heart. If there is a blood clot anywhere that interferes with blood flow the heart can stop. Even if it isn't completely confirmed, there is no way that somebody riding in a Jeep Cherokee and wearing his seatbelt - and Randy and Lynn were - is going to sustain injuries severe enough for death. Going 30 miles an hour, the impact with the tree would not have been severe enough; Lynn sustained only minor injuries and the ME didn't find any injuries on Randy that could beconsideed cause of death so blunt force trauma from impact with the inside of the jeep when it hit the tree can't be it, either. When you look at all sides of this, heart attack has to be it and it really makes the most sense, too.
