Octomom Doctor

License to Be

REVOKED

6/1/2011 1:40 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The doctor who implanted TWELVE embryos inside Octomom -- before she conceived octuplets -- will have his license to practice medicine revoked next month ... TMZ has learned.

0601_kamrava_bn_getty
The Medical Board of California made the announcement today -- ruling Dr. Michael Kamrava "did not exercise sound judgment" when he implanted the large number of embryos inside Nadya Suleman back in 2008.

The attorney general’s office accused Dr. Kamrava of being grossly negligent in his treatment of Suleman.

The Medical Board released a statement -- claiming, “The board is not assured that oversight through probation is enough, and having weighed the above, has determined that revocation of respondent’s certificate is necessary to protect the public.”

The revocation takes effect July 1st.

You'll see in most of Nadya's interviews she only talks about "California" taxpayers won't have to help. I think she's always referring to not taking "state" money. She NEVER addresses the issue of the Social Security she receives for her 3 children with disabilities, which the whole country is funding for her.

The court should also take those poor kids away from that hideous woman AND he should have to pay for their upbringing! Now that would be justice well served!

@Ilovegossip,

True as to SSI - but food stamps come from the State. Anyway, I've been reading the docs on Dr. K's hearing - - he "transferred" about 60 embryos during the 8 or 9 years he treated Octomom. Never considered sending her to a shrink.(?) Well below the standard of care.

@realist,

Nadya claims she no longer gets food stamps, so that is why she always states "California taxpayers" aren't footing the bill. She still receives the SSI though.

@Ilovegossip. Thanks for clarifying, I think. So do you have any idea who paid the Kaiser bill? I have great difficulty believing Kaiser wrote it off. It had to be in the $100's of thousands of dollars.

@realist,
Medi-cal picked up the tab. In other words, every single one of us who work paid her hospital bill.

@realist

abcnews.com: Suleman's octuplets qualify for Medi-Cal, the state's health-care program for the poor, meaning the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower, where the octuplets are staying, can request reimbursement for treatment. According to the Los Angeles Times, they've done just that.

Every report that I read on the hospital bill states that Kaiser was reimbursed by Medi-Cal at a prorated rate.
