Joanna Krupa Lawsuit -- My Image Expired!

6/3/2011 2:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Joanna Krupa is into giving companies the right to use her image to hock clothing, but she puts expiration dates on those rights ... and that's why she's suing a trendy fashion company.

Joanna claims she inked a deal with Zoe NYC back in 2009, allowing the company to use her image to sell its line of jewelry, embroidery, stones and swimwear, but the deal was only good for 3 months.

In the lawsuit, filed by attorney Stephanie Ovadia in New York City, Joanna claims Zoe continued to use her image to this day ... and that's just plain wrong.

Joanna was only paid $1,500 for the original shoot, but now she wants more than $250,000 for the use of her face and bangin' body.

She IS beautiful, and beauty don't come cheap.

If you sue right away, people have a lot of excuses they can turn too.

I was out of the country. I was at a funeral.
I was away from the phone. I haven't checked my email.
I didn't have enough time.

So . . . anyone who has ever filed a lawsuit of this sort know first you have to send out a ceast and desist letter then wait. Then you have to send out a second ceast and desist letter and then wait.
Then you have to serve them and wait.
Then you have a deposition and wait.
Then you have to negotiate a settlement in good faith and wait.
Then some people want to bring in an arbitrator.
More waiting.
Then you have to negotiate with the arbitrator and wait.

Then you have a hearing and wait.
Then the judge has to figure out if it's a valid lawsuit.
While he's doing that . . .. You wait.

Then you go to court . . . . and the first thing they ask you is " Did you give the defendant enough time to respond ?"

If you answer No to that question . . . . Trial over.

That's why you have to wait to sue people.

Sociopaths are Sad

What a trashy looking woman. Seriously. Her "image" just screams STDs for hire. She totally looks like her last name would be Krupa too.

Tess is SO RIGHT...puleeze, once and for all:

HOCK = PAWN/LOAN an item for $, repay the LOAN + interest, and retain ownership of the item;

HAWK = OFFER TO SELL an item outright.

"$250,000 for the use of her face and bangin' body"?

Even Charlie Sheen would find that a tad expensive.

For those who don't speak Polish, here's the translation to English of what 'polishhotstuff' posted about an hour ago (see above):

"My real name, Joshua, has a very small and smelly salami, nicknamed Ceible, that my pet raccoon Tobias licks daily. moving soon to Southern Califonia."

Verb 1. hock - leave as a guarantee in return for money; "pawn your grandfather's gold watch"
pawn, soak
commerce, commercialism, mercantilism - transactions (sales and purchases) having the objective of supplying commodities (goods and services)
consign, charge - give over to another for care or safekeeping; "consign your baggage"

So, yeah, it's "hock". Learn the English language before you embarrass yourself again.
