Chris Bosh Begs Judge -- Let My Kid Go to NBA Finals

6/8/2011 6:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Miami Heat superstar Chris Bosh desperately wants his 2-year-old daughter to watch him play in the NBA Finals -- but his baby mama won't let her go to the games -- so he's going to court to try to force her hand.

Bosh and his ex-girlfriend, Allison Mathis, are locked in a bitter custody war -- and while they hash out a permanent solution, they are currently abiding by a temporary court-ordered arrangement in which they share custody ... and right now, their daughter is with Mathis.

TMZ obtained an emergency motion Bosh filed with a Maryland court last week -- asking the judge to temporarily alter their agreement so "[Bosh's daughter] is able to share in what, to date, is the pinnacle of Bosh's professional career, and possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity."

In the docs, Bosh also includes an email he sent to Mathis last month in the hopes of striking a deal outside the courtroom.

In the letter, Chris states, "I am embarking on a new chapter of my life by making it into the finals for the first time in my professional career and it's very important to me to have the people closest and dear to my heart to be able to share these moments with me."

Bosh continues, "If we can make this happen please respond asap and I will set up the arrangements for pick up/drop off without you even having to lift a finger."

According to the legal docs, Bosh never heard back from Mathis. So far, the judge has yet to rule on the matter ... but a source close to Allison tells us she does not want to change the arrangement.

But there's a silver lining in this story for Bosh -- according to the original arrangement, he's due to get custody of the kid back on June 11 ... one day before Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

And since the Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night -- evening the series at 2 games a piece -- it seems Bosh will get to play in front of his daughter after all.

UPDATE: Mathis' mother tells TMZ, "She never objected to those dates for the playoffs or any such thing."

A two year old up VERY late and surrounded by strangers who are drunk, screaming and swearing ... Yeah... I would want MY two year old there and would want her to remember THAT moment of history.

Someone give him a parenting class or two ...

The perfect place to have a 2 year old. Surrounded in the late evening by drunken strangers cursing at the ball and refs. I am sure he could think of nowhere else more appropriate for her, especially since he will not be the one caring for the, most likely, tired, cranky, irritable, screaming and crying poopy pants 2 year old. Way to go Super Dad! I guess Disney World or Disney Land would be far to boring for your spawn.

I don't think it's a matter of if the kid remembers the game, or sit thru it. It's a matter of a parent wanting to enjoy a once in a life time opportunity with his loved one. from - www.cmkmarketing.com

The mother is obviously a self centered **** wishing to punish her ex. We need more women like that...

I think the fact that mom didn't even respond to the email request speaks more loudly than anything else, whether you agree with his request or not. If they cannot co-parent and she is the one unable to do so, then full custody should be given to him.

This is about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. What 2 year old is going to sit through a basetball game, know what the hell in going on or even remember it? This guy's a moron!

No the 2 yr old will not remember the games but this is a man WANTING to spend time with his child. If he DIDN'T want to spend time with his daughter the same people on here would be talking trash about that. The ex seems very bitter. Some mothers play a major role in kids not seeing their fathers. Ladies, just because it didn't workout between you and daddy, don't use the kids. You are setting them up for a world of hurt.

How would a 2year old kid enjoy watching a game with a noisy crowd? It would be best if he would just let her sleep tight during the night. From .

this is nothing new.. i feel for you chris but if this chick has acted out like this and using the courts as her main wpn you should go for full custody.. i hope you win .. good luck

and im proud of my Mav's last night and your performance was awesome .. good job!

Doesn't matter if the kid is only 2, there are just some moments in your life that it's important to share with your kids no matter what their age. It's a bonding thing and one parent shouldn't stand in the way of the other parent forging these bonds with their kid. That's a bad deal all around. At least this guy wants involvement in his daughter's life. What would people say if he tried to alter the agreement so he didn't have to have her there?

okay the season is almost over and he can bond with her all he wants after the season is over. The kid does not need to go to a stupid basketball game to bond with daddy.

I understand that the woman maybe a little bitter, but perhaps there is a reason she wants to keep her daughter far from this guy. Why the heck would it be a big deal to have her at the game? She is two! She isn't going to know whats going on, nor is she going to remember. I think this is an excuse perhaps on his part to discredit the mother.

some of you folks need to recognize that some women are very very very vindictive.. when ever ANY woman denies access to the child it proves by far some issues is going on between her and the father..

she's using her kid as a pawn to get back at him for something. and despite what you believe its very possible a kid at age 2 would remember how you ask?? Cause its the G.Damn 2011 NBA FINALS!!! and its on tv, cams everywhere and Lebron makes sure he has enough close ups..

He's the biological father and should have full access to the child even for a couple of hours. you vindictive women have been doing this to men for decades dont act like

" its something chris might have done which is why she wont let him bring his kid to the game as if the kid is in real danger" B! plz.. she was happily lapping it up and swallowing when they were together now she wants to act all mad cause she never got the wifey ring.

in the end she just wants to be paid since she put hard work in.
