Hi Sonny, actually they DID spell "Wiener" as in hot dog correctly. I was born in Germany and my grandpa had a small brewery called Stoneys aka Stein (only part of his last name)< which mean's stone and STEIN is pronounced St "INE" - so it is confusing why he doen't pronounce it that way. Carl & Rob Reiner pronounce it that way, Ira Reiner pronounces that way. Maybe Weiner doen't because he has such a big one that he wants his name to alert us. This isn't meant to be sarcastic or snotty in any way to you at all.:)
