Gary Busey is at the center of a new controversy after a woman allegedly complained about the actor's behavior on the set of his new horror movie.

Sources connected with the upcoming movie "Mansion of Blood" tell us, Gary had simply become too difficult to work with -- and was booted from the production after a woman on set complained about inappropriate comments Gary made.

According to sources, Gary had already finished shooting about half of his scenes -- so the script was rewritten ... and another actor filled in to shoot the rest.

Gary's rep tells us, "The situation was plagued by contractual issues and misunderstandings from the outset. Gary considers this episode concluded and has no further comment on the matter."

We contacted producers ... who DENY Gary was fired ... telling us, "Mr. Busey remains in the cast of the movie" ... and insist Gary has "committed no improper acts in connection with his role in the movie."

People need to understand, this man suffered a traumatic brain injury. He has a very hard time with just everyday life. That filter we have that keeps us from saying things we know we shouldn't, isn't there anymore.

Seems like when he had his meds tweaked just right on "Celebrity Rehab" , he had time to have it register with him what he was going to say.

I think just too many people label him as "nuts" or crazy, but they should realize that he has been injured. And this is a lifetime loss, nothing that completely reverses itself later on.
C'mon people, could we be "a little" slack, he seems like such a sweet, wonderful man. (o:

twilightmom is exactly correct. As a Survivor of a TBI myself, I have spent 37 years trying to gain control of my own emotions. When my wife (also a TBI survivor) and I watched him on Celeb Rehab, we both immediately recognized the symptoms of a TBI. She didn't know his history so she didn't know about his accident, but said he obviously has a brain injury. His biggest problem is that people assume his behavior is drug related, but in fact it is textbook dis-inhibition.

Gary Busey is a person who should be viewed with compassion, not derision. He needs help, therapy, and treatment by a competent neuropsychiatrist. With the proper medications, his quality of life can improve dramatically, as well as his functioning.

Gary was in a motorcycle accident a few years back. This is before any helmet law and he was not wearing one. He had head trauma and was in the hospital for a long time. That man is lucky to even be alive. He is however one heck of an actor.

One of my former co-workers was in a car going down the freeway and his axle broke. He flew out of the car and the car spun a few times and landed on him. He also had a massive brain injury. He did not look the same when he came back to work. He was about 2 inches shorter and his personality was nothing like it was before the accident. He went from a really easy going guy who laughed all of the time to a man that did not joke or smile at all and had a bad temper.

Àww the sad thing is, its not really his fault. His brain is incredibly damaged from the accident. The fact is, he'll never be the same.

I feel bad for the dude, loved him in some of his earlier movies especially Buddy Holly and Lethal Weapon. That accident changed him forever, there is no real meds that work 100 percent with the damage he suffered.

@locke
Thanks, glad to hear you and wife are both survivors! I know it can be hard and very frustrating trying to just be "yourself" again.
Very similar to a stroke, it can change someones complete disposition.
I've seen the sweetest little old ladies, church going, never a profane word from their lips. After, I heard things from them that made this former sailor blush. (=
Sounds like you guys have come a long way. I wish you and her the very best!

It isn't the TBI that makes him out like that, it's because he's an addict. The TBI has caused him many problems, but his inappropriate, often bully behavior (as showcased on Celebrity Fit Club and Celebrity Apprentice), is because he is an addict. It doesn't help that people continually make excuses for him when they shouldn't.

It is also apparent he uses his TBI to try to get away with inappropriate behavior. This was VERY apparent on Celebrity Apprentice, and in later interviews with people on his team. He waited until the cameras weren't around to act like a bully and a tool.

I have a family member with TBI from a car accident.
