Estella Warren

Enters Treatment Facility

6/17/2011 4:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Estella Warren has entered a treatment facility following her crazy DUI arrest last month -- and to "prove she isn't drinking" ... she's even agreed to wear a SCRAM bracelet

Warren's attorney -- Darren Kavinoky -- tells People.com, the "Planet of the Apes" star entered a residential treatment facility shortly after posting bail last month, and has been sporting the bracelet for the last 10 days.

Kavinoky adds, "She's committed to making the situation right and moving on in a way that's appropriate."

As TMZ first reported ... Estella was arrested May 23 -- after she slammed into three cars, kicked a cop and tried to escape from the police station. She was charged with DUI, hit-and-run driving, battery on a cop, and resisting arrest.

An arraignment scheduled for today was postponed. If convicted on all charges, Warren faces 2.5 years in jail.

the old, self-referred treatment trick... Celebrity Courts love, gives them a celebrity out.

Estella Warren's house in Beverly Hills is for sale. I saw the house this weekend and thought it was very cool (all people were talking about was that face that she was selling the house FAST!). I found this video on YouTube selling the house, you can see it here:

I'm truly amazed that everyone seems to think because she has no prior incidents on record that she should get a break. The average joe who did the same thing would hands down get jail time. But, because she's "Estella Warren" ACTRESS, she should get a break. People, you're just perpetuating the whole preferential treatment for the rich and famous. When will you all realize that "THEY" should get the same treatment that you would get had you done the same thing. I'm so tired of hearing about these celebrities walking away with essentially a slap on the wrist. All I can hope for is that she get a true sentence when her time comes in court. Though I actually don't expect that will happen. LA courts are not known for being fair and equal when it come to celebrities.
