Coroner: Ryan Dunn Died Violent Death

6/21/2011 10:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn and his passenger each died as result of both blunt force trauma AND the fire that consumed Dunn's Porsche during the crash Monday morning ... this according to the Chester County Coroner.

Ryan Dunn Cause of Death

The Coroner's Office just released the autopsy results for both men -- who, we're told, were each dead by the time officials arrived at the scene.

Based on the autopsy results, the crash was so violent, it seems it was impossible to determine if the two died from the impact of the crash itself or from the fire that resulted.

Officials say the toxicology results for both men -- which would help determine the role alcohol played in the crash -- will be released in 4 to 6 weeks.

TMZ previously reported, officials believe Dunn's car veered off the highway and crashed in a wooded area Monday morning ... before exploding in flames. Investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.

Has anything been said about the possibility of racing, since the photos show another set of skid marks that end abruptly after the area Dunn entered the woods?

Does anyone know if Dunn's rims made it through the accident? I'm a Porsche owner myself and would sure like to get my hands on them.

OK defenders: Just for humors sake, let's say he was sober as a monk - not a drop of booze in his body. The sheer "violence" of the crash (as quoted by the coroner) indicates how fast he was driving. That alone shows his recklessness. Hate it, but is anyone surprised?

Really? Really?

This is for the "go home!" user.

Yes, we are all responsible for our "OWN" actions, but if you knew anything about working at a bar, is that, if a patron of the bar is drunk, you find his/her way home. You never EVER allow a drunk patron to leave. Why? Because while under your establishment, you are responsible each and everyone there, that includes drunks. I've fought tooth and nail with patrons to get them to take a cab home. I've personally paid to have them go home safe and sound in a cab or bus, rather than the way Ryan Dunn went out. I don't excuse his actions for drinking and driving (if that's what the reports come back as being), but for everyone to bury a man for making a bad mistake which ended up costing another man's life and his own, who mind you made the same decision Ryan Dunn did to get into the car, is self righteous. You've never made a mistake? We all have. Yes, this was at cost of two lives, but to point a finger and blame one guy for a horrible mistake,... you have three pointing back.

Car crashes into trees. Car catches on fire. Coroner result: victims dies from blunt force trauma and fire. Wow! Anyone could have come up with that conclusion.

I hear the rims kept going. They're somewhere in Canada by now.

Enough with the speculation on skid marks, or whether there was a deer or UFO or the Headless Horseman or something else he was avoiding. Stick with what is known. He had at least 6 drinks in a 4 hour period. If he wasn't "legally" impaired he would have been very close. And yes to another poster, there's a reason for a blood alcohol limit, but there's also reasons for speed limits. I'm quite sure that doing 120 mph on a bad stretch of road, at night, with 2 drinks in you is just as dangerous and irresponsible as doing 60 mph with 6 drinks in you. He pushed both limits, that we know.

It's unfortunate he didn't survive with horrific burns all over his body, melted like a plastic toy. It's unfortunate Dunn isn't alive to sh*t into a bag for the rest of his life, and breathing from a ventilator. It's tragic that he took the easy way out, and was handed an easy exit. Go straight to Hell, do not pass GO, do not collect $200.

He should be alive today, to be pushed around in a wheelchair off ramps for the next installment of Dumb-ass. He should be alive to serve as a vegetative living reminder of what happens when you drink and drive.

Instead - he was eviscerated and torn in two in a fiery wreck which left his entrails strewn one hundred yards from the rest of his body. Meat. A soulless lifeless corpse, as he was in life.
