Police:

Ryan Dunn

Crashed at 130 MPH

6/21/2011 4:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Ryan Dunn was doing 130 miles-per-hour in his Porsche at the time of the horrible crash that killed the "Jackass" star and his passenger -- this according to West Goshen police.

Police Chief Michael Carroll told reporters an accident reconstruction team determined the speed of the crash after inspecting the accident scene. Officials say Dunn's car collided with a guardrail at high speed, crashed in the woods and burst into flames.

According to Carroll, the crash was catastrophic -- claiming he's "never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was ... even before it caught on fire."

Carroll called the accident the "worst" he's ever seen ... by far.

I understand that Ryan Dunn going 130 mph wasn't a smart move on his part. But to go and say that he was drunk? You can't prove that until the toxicology report comes out.

And for you guys that are saying he deserved to die, shame on you! I mean, the man is dead! Can't you be just a little more respectful and mature than that?! What if it was you? How would you feel if people were saying you deserved to die and were calling you a dumb f**king a**hole and all this crap?

'Sides, don't you know what Karma will come around and bite you in the ass?

He was drunk; twice the legal limit. .196 is drunk. Good thing an innocent bystander outside the car did not get hurt.

"Friends don't let Jackasses drive drunk."
(Oh yeah, someone said that already.)

My heart goes out to the parents, but Bam is an immature big kid who, along with the rest of his entourage, need to grow up.

Right, the crash test team determined this based on...? Could be true, but how much you want to bet these "police" even ever graduated college? Serious. How many police officers do you know who actually graduated college. Think about that.

No, "Chicago Nick", it's sad you deny anyone can be sad over someone's death. Do you think Ryan deserved it? He was evil? All drunk drivers deserve to die? NO ONE deserves to die... Stop acting like God's message to earth, f****** idiot.

Just my opinion of course but why should we villianize Ryan Dunn and not place partial blame on the passenger? If im drinking with my friends ( as the picture shows ) and i know someone is drunk Im sure as hell NOT getting into a car with them, let alone allowing them to drive. We all make poor choices, sadly some of us dont get to rectify them.My condolences.

What has happened is nothing but sad, I'm sure many would agree. Did Ryan make mistakes?.... yes, yes he did however, there are certain things that come as a result to drinking. Hopefully some out there understand that when you consume alcohol and become drunk the first sense you lose is the ability to reason and make sound judgment, which in turn results in people feeling as they are capable enough to drive etc.... with that being said... lay the hell off of him, he never intended on hurting anyone, himself included, none of us know for certain what happen and with the info given the only conclusion I can come up with is that it is just TRAGIC!! blame is not necessary, what done is done! My heart goes out to the many family and friends who cared for and loved him... Angie, stay strong! Always remembered and never forgotten RYAN DUNN (your the man) *Sandbag*

well, the dumb jack ass won't be doing that again! Imagine if he had killed someone who was innocent such as your sibling, parent best friend etc... The media focus would all be on him cuz he's a so called "star." We would end up as U.S. citizens paying all the court costs for his arrangement and appeals. He doesn't have that kind of money. To bad for him, the only good thing out of this is that he will never be able to do this again. Thumbs UP. ONE LESS DRUNK ON THE ROAD.

First I wish everyone who keeps indicating that Ryan made a "mistake" needs to realize this was not a mistake. A mistake indicates that you did not realize what you were doing... when you go to a party, drink and then drive, i believe it is pretty obvious what the potential outcome can be. Whether he planned on drinking that much or not.. he knew he was going to be drinking so as previous posts have indicated... get a driver man... hire a car service.. or maybe that appears lame.. As for the passenger.. if he was sober, then he was a idiot for getting in the car.. if was drunk as well then..hmm...he was an idiot. Is this whole thing tragic, sure... it is a shame for any person to die of something so senseless, but come on folks... facts hurt.. drunk drivers die and if you choose to drink heavily at parties then your fate is sealed..fine.. go take yourself out, but at least try to do solo...
People take calculated risks and chances everyday and sometimes you lose. If you drive fast, you may die..you may kill someone else.. maybe you will live and only kill the innocent... but gee thats ok.. we always need more spokespersons for various support groups you morons....
I am not saying ban alcohol, fast cars, or anything. You have to use common sense and realize how it can truly affect someones life. If all cars are suddenly restricted to maximum speeds of 55, people will still die, but at the same time i think its ironic for people who smoke to wear a seat belt.. overall your just delaying the inevitable. Just dont bitch later on in life or say you made a mistake.. i think by now we are all well informed the obvious dumb ass thinks not to do...As for Ryan.. sorry people... maybe he did not deserve to die, but if i had to choose a life to be taken at that moment, im glad it was his and not some family coming home from a road trip...

pathetic readers

You're office workers, construction workers, police, firemen, retail clerks. Your lives are pathetic. What are you doing? Are you living life to its fullest? Are you living life at all?

You pathetic masses. You waste your lives waiting for the weekends, which you'll waste either drunk or recovering from the rest of your **** life. You read **** like this and feel compelled to opine.

This man died spectacularly. There's no honor in that. There's no honor in your life, either. You're all dying pathetically, one second at a time. Tick tock. Carry on. Is your life worth living? Why not make it so?

You people should be ashamed of yourselves for your HATEFUL words! Get a life and have some respect for a man who prior to this has probably never hurt ANYONE and was loved by soo many! Everyone makes mistakes in life and that does not make them a bad person you ignorant FOOLS! RIP Ryan Dunn & Zachary Hartwell you will be missed!

P.S. all of you retards trying to make this a "pot is better than marijuana" case are just sad and truly pathetic! go crawl in the holes you came from already!

Sad example of our times. I do not support gay bashing, domestic violence or drunk driving.

That being said, I have been horrified by the truly heinous comments regarding the DEATH of Ryan Dunn. Where are the public apologies to his friends & family????

Gay Rights Groups > How 'bout a national apology to them? I'm sure their feelings are far more than "hurt"
