when you find yourself close to losing your own life & then your quality of life has deteriorated such as Roger's had...
a quick comment such as Eberts is understandable. The guy took too big a gamble with his healthy self.

I got a DUI in Arizona. I was employed at the time so I was allowed to do work release in the tents for 15 days which means that i was able to leave the tents for 12 hrs daily (5 days) stay in for 2 days, then i had to do 8 days house arrest which i was allowed to leave for 12 hours 5 days a week. But I also had a blow machine at my house that would go off at least 4 times a day when I was home that along with blowing to make sure I wasn't drinking anything and it also took my picture to make sure that it was me that was doing the blowing.

It's very important to be sensitive when someone dies! We have all had a few drinks and thought we were ok to drive. Obviously Ryan Dunn and his friend thought they were fine enough to drive home. We need to be sensitive towards their family but let the lesson be learned here that no matter how fine we think we are after a few drinks, it's just not worth the risk to drive. My prayers go out to everyone who is hurting from the loss of Ryan Dunn including his family and friends.

The problem isn't her making money under house arrest. the problem is she should of been put in jail.
And Roger Ebert didn't jump the gun - Ryan killed himself and someone else. sorry.

Lindsay's: Will now donate part of the income to some charity now. Or the Judge should be upset that she is being reward for house arrest.

Can Lindsay's punishment, or lack thereof, set a precedent for another case. Meaning that if someone else, a non-celebrity, is convicted of the same crime, can the argument be made for the same sentence as Lindsay?

No she didnt break any rules but the point is... SHE HAS REPEATEDLY BROKEN THE LAW AND FACES NO CONSEQUENCES! She needs a spanking, a corner, time out, something! jesus. I know toddlers who have faced more severe punishments.

Lindsay could be making much more money making a movie on set, that is how she is losing out. I know you are probably going to say no one is going to insure her but that is not the point. She is not making as much money as she would if she could leave the house.

Harvey,

All you need to know about the Lindsay situation is, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."

Is what she doing REASONABLE to a regular person? No.

Is it illegal? No.

Do the majority of people feel people should be able to make a living? Yes.

No easy answer here...

Matt

Please understand that in the supposed lifestyle of the rich or famous rules/ guidelines/ and laws are imposed based on each situation vs a Rule being a Rule,a guideline being a guideline & a law being a law!

It has been like this for decades!

maybe it was too soon for the comments but the fact is - it most likely was alcohol related and Bam should be pissed at the guys who were with Ryan that night. Also, did the bar continue to serve him while he was getting more drunk by the hour?

As for that comment on air about how would Roger have felt if it was said to him that his smoking is responsible for his cancer, well, don't you think he knows that better than you or I or anyone else on this planet and regrets it every day of his life and advocates not smoking?
