Johnny Knoxville on Ryan Dunn:

I'm Emotional, Upset

6/27/2011 8:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Johnny Knoxville says he's been running through a gauntlet of emotions since his friend and "Jackass" co-star Ryan Dunn died last week ... ranging from mind-numbing sadness to anger directed at Ryan.

Johnny Knoxville

Knoxville went to his blog this weekend ... and explained why he froze up while speaking at Ryan Dunn's memorial service last week ... saying he tried his best, but "What came out were the mumblings of a man trying his best not to cry."

Knoxville writes, "Here is what I wished I could have told everyone then."

During the painfully honest blog, Johnny explains how much he loved Dunn -- he loved Dunn's "hair trigger laugh reflex ... Dunn was a great listener ... a great friend ... "as loyal as they come."

But midway through the tribute, Knoxville expresses his discontent with Dunn ... saying, "I'm becoming upset now because this isn't right, goddamnit. Ryan, I had to go wake up Madison and tell her you were gone. Do you know how hard that was?!! She loved you so much and I know you loved her, so why, buddy? Rocko will never get to know you like she did, nor will my daughter that is coming in October. I cry a lot about that."

Knoxville -- who refers to Dunn as his "brother" -- closed the post by saying, "I don't know what else to say right now, so I will close with I love you, Ryan. I have a lot of emotions swirling, but I want you to know I love you so very much."

Have yet to hear him say anything about the guy's drinking and driving, how stupid that was, or anything about the other guy. You remember the other guy don't you Johnny?I can't place his name because there has been massive media coverege about Ryan and everything, but hardly any mention of the other guy, the innocent passenger that died as a result of Ryan's foolish actions. Is TMZ going to have any coverage of his funeral? Or, has it already taken place? Not important enough I guess.

Agree! Where is the sympathy for the other man and any family he has? Are they not expressing their grief for that man and his family because it won't get them the attention? They must have known him as well! Very sad that there is so little coverage about him and his family and friends!

You Drink, You Drive, You Die.

Pretty simple concept, no?

Too bad he killed someone else with his stupidity, fortunately he didn't kill anyone else.

Inasmuch as he is obviously an inconsiderate lowlife piece of crap the planet will be a far better place without him.

I hope he rots in Hell.

Now THIS was the responsible and intelligent way a friend should react. He knows that Ryan was wrong and isnt a ***** enough to admit it. Johnny, u r a good man.

"Its all fun and games until someone gets hurt"

I think consecutive pages of posts pointing out the fact that Ryan Dunn is an idiot for drinking and driving is like beating an already dead horse. POINTLESS. We know and all agree.

It was a tragic lesson learned and if nothing else it should serve as a reminder of our own mortality. We are not invincible and no matter how many times you have gotten away with it in the past, everytime you drink you are putting yourself and other innocent people at risk. So unfortunately, at the very least I hope this is a lesson learned and wake up call for fans and foes alike

Unfortunately, (if the media reports are correct about Ryan Dunn’s Blood Alcohol Contents), Mr. Dunn had more than just a few drinks is completely responsible for killing his passenger, and creating an emotional holocaust for his family and friends. Like most Hollywood self-centered, egocentric and self-destructive personalities, they trade in their wealth, fame and fortune for a cheap bottle of Alcohol.

If Mr. Dunn had any “true friends”, they would not have let him drive.

Lander.. .Ryan Dunn wasn't in the Hangover.
It was Zach Galifianakis.

What more could you say? Ryan made a horrible error in judgement. NO ONE SHOULD EVER DRINK AND DRIVE! THERE IS NO EXCUSE! (that would have been a great start!)

And for everyone out there in the land called denial, you can be an alcoholic and drink 5 beers every night for ten years. You may not notice anything, but you are STILL DRUNK! You will test as being drunk on the machines. In fact, over time, your ability to process alcohol will DECREASE because you are over working your liver and over time your liver will slowly start dying.

may everyone who loved him so much learn from his mistake. See what can happen (and probably will happen) when people drink and drive.

Why people go to their "blogs" or Twitter (and the like) and post their sorrow / sadness . . (or whatever it may be) online for all their 'drama' to be played out for all to see, is so stupid. Feel what you need to feel and do it privately. The whole world does not need to 'read' about it on a 'blog' etc. What the hell happened to 'manning up' and quit playing everything out for the public to see? This world has become so ridiculous in so many ways. Can you see Robert Mitchum 'blogging' or 'tweeting' (whatever you call it) his feelings or what he 'thinks'?
