MSNBC Analyst SUSPENDED for Calling Obama 'D*ck'

6/30/2011 11:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

"Time" editor and MSNBC analyst Mark Halperin has been suspended indefinitely by the network after he called President Barack Obama a "d*ck" on live television ... and the footage is hilarious.

Mark dropped the d-bomb earlier today on the "Morning Joe" broadcast -- claiming he thought Obama was "kind of a d*ck yesterday" at the President's White House news conference.

Mark has since profusely apologized for the comment, but MSNBC followed through with the suspension anyway -- claiming his "comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable."

So we gotta ask ...

Im an INDEPENDENT and quite objective
found it very interesting...
because not one of them got suspended from any network when they were saying the same and worse about Bush on the air- not at all confused as to whether there was any delay

find that an obvious double standard

and the 2 idiots talking to him told him they had a 7 second delay

if he had any idea there was no delay you know that he would have never said it on national TV after the host egged him on to say it
hes not a stupid man

I'd suspend the stupid hosts too-and replace some key people in their control room!
so not entirely his fault

apparently they are a very AMATEUR production over at MSNBC
as well as a very LIBERAL production

So much for free speech. Thank god he didn't call him the "N Word".

I hear Fox has an opening...

You would think with all those years of college, working for newspapers and now for TIME, he could find better words to express his opinons than those a potty mouth 10 year old would use...just saying!!

What ever happened to the 1st Amendment? This is ridiculous. I'm glad he spoke his mind, because he could of said much more worse things than calling the Prez a ****....

I dont care what anyone thinks of the man, but have some respect for The President of the United States and the Office.

@Raleigh on that note I hope your boss calls you a d*** jer* idio*
moro** as*. Or perhaps you can call him/her that? If you're the boss call your employees that pls.
See a person on the street looking "funny" to you just insult him/her! Why not?
Better, if you don't like someone give them a gun then get one yourself and start shooting at each other! how about that?
Some ppl really seem like they were raised in a barn with animals.

Oh and it has nothing to do with free speech and all to do with manners, which most americans seem to have none.
I guess thats what happens in a 200 year old country with very little to call culture.

ps: ofc there are always exceptions

The 1st Amendment says the GOVERNMENT can't shut you up. It says nothing whatsoever about what a private business can or can't do.

Just last month, MSNBC suspended one of their staff for insulting right-wingers (Ed Schultz called conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham a "right-wing slut" on his radio show and got a week off without pay). If MSNBC doesn't want that kind of language on their airwaves, that's their prerogative.

Name at least one other president in the history of our country that has been so overtly disrespected in this way??? You can't! Free Speech or not, there is a certain level of pride we should have for our president and ourselves as Americans whether you agree with his politics or not. Bush and other presidents should have been called far worse, but that never happened. Somehow we find it more acceptable to say things about this president that we never would have verbalized about another and I wonder why?

So now free speech is "inappropriate and unacceptable"? Good god, one of our greatest freedoms is that we can make fun of our leaders and say they're being jackasses. Way to go MSNBC for violating one of the basic rights our founding fathers fought for.
