Michael Jackson fans in the U.S. may NOT have to cross the pond to catch the LIVE MJ Tribute Concert in October ... TMZ has learned plans are in the works to LIVESTREAM the show at several major arenas around the country.

TMZ spoke with a rep for Global Live -- the company behind the event -- who tells us producers are working with several major U.S. venues in the hopes of broadcasting the event on jumbotrons to give audiences the concert experience without having to go all the way to Wales (it's a country in Europe!).

We're told nothing has been finalized ... but Global Live is actively trying to seal the deal.

As we previously reported, stars like Kanye West, Christina Aguilera and Jay-Z have all been contacted about playing the event. So far, the only act who's signed on the dotted line is Cee Lo from Gnarls Barkley.

"A PORTION of the concert proceeds, PARTICULARLY fan pledges, will go to charities, The Aids Project LA and The Prince's Trust, the promoters said."

But they did not reveal WHAT portion of concert proceeds (1% of profits?) will go to charity, and why the curious use of the word "PARTICULARLY" -- did they mean 100% of fan pledges, and 1% of CONCERT proceeds.

What about the proceeds from everything else? Pay-per-view; broadcast rights to 30 countries, theatre revenue, DVD and CD sales, merchandise, etc? ALL PROFITS apparently going into bank accounts of Global Live and Jacksons.

It's nice that the family wants to continue to honor Michael's name. I just don't get why it was agreed to have the tour begin in Wales? Even when Michael was alive his concert was to begin in London. As far as I am concerned, the Jacksons are considered and will always be a black american family. They were all born in the USA. What's wrong with this picture? Yeah, there's a whole package thing going on before a press conference is held to announce a tour; but I feel the family should've started home first.
In the sixities, when they were called the Jackson 5, they were performing at every venue possible just to get attention and had the support of fans from all over the country before they went abroad and became a successfull international group.
Michael may have had his problems here in the States, but he did love it here. Why would he have gone through great lengths to have Neverland in USA. Why can't his family see that. :)

You want to have it in Europe keep it in Europe.

Not interested.

Kelly, don't be a sucker your whole life ... It's all about the money. The Jackson's see a golden opportunity to cash in on MJ's fast-diminishing money-making potential, and a gullible non-discriminating fanbase that will eat up whatever the "family" offers. The Jackson's are laughing at you ... all the way to the bank.

I heard on the news tonight, that Marlon & Tito, as well as LaToya will also be performing at the Tribute. Not Janet, Randy or Jermaine. It is unclear if Katherine will be in Wales for the Tribute, or in CA for the trial at this time

@ Kelly
Michael may have had his problems here in the States, but he did love it here

The USA stuck a pole up MJ's azz and turned it !!!!

It is a fact that MJ was disgusted with how U.S.A
treated him. He don't think U.S.A. is worthy of his ART
and contribution to society.

And I totally agree. Even TII concert was not going to be here !!!!

MJ loved his fans in USA and globally,

It's just that....

I believe that USA contibuted to his demise. ( jmo )

MJ hated the USA. That's as anti-American as it gets. He loved the suckers who bought his albums and financed his deviant lifestyle ... And now his family wants you to keep feeding at the trough ... Good riddance to them all.
