Ted Williams

I've Been Financially Raped

8/19/2011 5:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Ted Williams has filed a lawsuit that will make you cry.

Williams -- the homeless guy who became famous for his voice of thunder -- claims when he hit it big earlier this year, he couldn't handle the pressure and was plagued with "significant drug and alcohol abuse" and was "totally incapable of understanding what was happening to him or handling [his] own affairs."

Williams got hooked up with Zev Suissa, Randy Thomas and Joe Cipriano -- also known as the defendants.  According to the lawsuit, the trio took Williams for a ride, knowing he was suffering from severe substance abuse.

The suit claims Suissa, Thomas and Cipriano got Williams to sign a "one-sided, onerous, burdensome, non-negotiated and blatantly unfair" deal that gives them a huge chunk of any money Williams makes.

Williams now wants a judge to void the contract.

Short story ... sounds like he signed his life away.

I'm sick of this guy. He only was famous for this because he was homeless, he was already doing voice work before becoming homeless. The guy probably blew a lot of his money on drugs and alchohol. It's his own fault to be honest.

How many opportunities does this guy get? What makes him so special? He threw his life away with drugs and booze, his fault. Let him deal with it. There are people out there with problems not of their OWN MAKING and they have to deal with it alone, without help from anyone. People much more deserving of a hand up.

mongoose27 least TMZ is doing the important work. Thank god they are covering (as always) the hard stories. Tonight, so little baby boy or girl is dying in Africa, but good ol' TMZ is covering the hard stories. Go **** yourselves. I hope you rot in hell/or at least have your families taken from you and destroyed. God have mercy on your souls...cause we won't.

Let this guy sink back into oblivion where he was comfortable. These days somebody is always trying to gain money/fame on the back of somebody else. Does anyone actually think he's going to show up in court or change his life?? Get real.

The sad thing about rags-to-riches-to-rags stories?

-They're far too predictable.

It's almost impossible to switch Worlds.

You miss whichever world you're not in.

You were homeless. You survived on the streets, you were not stupid and a little greedy, maybe. Be careful what you wish for. Your fate may have been in his plan.

Oh, so many self-righteous people feel compelled to elevate their fragile egos by commenting on this guy.
I wonder how many of you call themselves Christians. If you do, please re-examine what Jesus is said to have said: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged" (Matthew 7:1).
