The death of Russell Armstrong has put the spotlight on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and reality TV. Is it just plain ol' entertainment or has it crossed the line into the danger zone? We want to know ...

He chose to commit suicide, knowing full well that he had 3 children that would be horribly impacted. Being in the public eye may have created more pressure, but at the end of the day, he made the choice and no one is to blame but him. In the end, suicide is the most selfish decision anyone can make. Reality tv or not, it leaves to many questions for those left behing and only resolves the immediate distress for the person who died.

Say what you want about the show. I don'*****ch this kind of crap.

What I don't understand is this: 69% voted that they wouldn't do the show for $50k (I'm one of them). However, 68% voted to do it for $1M. WTF is wrong with those people?! I'm not married, but that's not good for anybody. Most of these couples haven't had good times doing the show.

You can't put every person who looks like a TV/movie extra in front of the camera. With this kind of programming, they need to show detailed interviews and video clips online first. Then see how the viewers feels about them and put the fan favorites on TV. Anybody got a better idea? If not, there's your freebie. Enjoy.

I can't believe how many communists there are commenting about cancelling shows on TV just because YOU don't like them. I don't like football or UFC because they are dangerous but obviously other people do. It's TV with hundreds of channels if you don't like what's on change the channel stupid. Or better yet turn it off and get a life.

As long as people watch these shows these things will continue to happen. Network executives have no scruples, they only care about money and the bottom line.

I CAN'T BELIEVE 50% OF PEOPLE WANT BRAVO TO KEEP REAL HOUSEWIVES ON THE AIR. WHAT THE FUCH IS UP WITH THAT? THEY R ALL STUPID SHOWS, I DON'T CARE WHAT STATE THEY R DOING. IT'S JUST ALL ABOUT THE ALMIGHTY $ AND SOMEDAY THEY WILL ALL ANSWER FOR RUSSELL'S DEATH, AND DON'T FOR A MINUTE THINK U WON'T BRAVO, CAUSE IT SAYS SO IN THE BIG BOOK AND I'M NOT TALKING BOUT THE AA "BIG BOOK" YA KNOW? GOTTA REALITY SHOW FOR THAT BIT OF TRUTH? DIDN'T THINK SO. U MAKE ME SICK AND I PRAY U ALL GET WHAT'S COMING TO YA, CAUSE A MAN IS DEAD AND A LITTLE GIRL HAS NO FATHER, JUST A SELFISH, SELF-CENTERED BIATCH FOR A MOTHER. NUFF BS FOR ONE DAY.

The show has nothing to do with him killing himself. That was a choice he made. Just like he made choices in his marriage and his financial life that led to his clear depression. Now, I'm not gonna say reality tv is high brow or beneficial to society, but we all need to get real about personal responsibility here. That man decided to kill himself instead of dealing with his problems, and he was willing to abandon his three children in the process. It's very sad, terribly tragic for his family; but the only thing that killed Russell was Russell. But his family and friends have all my sympathy, particularly his children.

per Russells mother "she believed that being on the drama-filled reality show had slowly destroyed her son's six-year marriage to Taylor." Is she insane?? Russells violent, woman beating rages destroyed his marriage to Taylor! Take some of the blame yourself mommy...monsters aren't usually born that way.

Those who choose to go on these type shows are morons who are to blame for what happens to them. They make the choice to go on the show and stay on the show. If they don't like what is going on, walk off the show. If you don't know what these type shows are all about before you go on them then again you deserve what happens to you.

Let's get a couple things straight first:
1. This is not a reality show, most of these type of shows are not reality. They are dramas built around a selected group of people. Half the stuff that happens on RHO__ is reshot, ask anyone on the production crews that has the balls to tell the truth.
2. Andy and most of the RHOBH knew very well that there was abuse and things were not going well. They ignored black and blue marks on Taylors face and arms. She sat in a makeup chair and had to have concealer put on to cover very obvious bruises, bruises you could tell were inflicted by another person. They were there shooting raw footage when her estranged husband grabbed her arm so hard and pulled many thought she would have dislocated her arm. They did nothing.
She was hurt so badly in at least one instance they had to shut down production and they did nothing.
They are lucky by thismuch that he didn't end up pulling a murder suicide.
No one is "prepared" for this kind of thing, they see the fame and they don't see the downside.

Exactly what is REAL about reality tv? It is obviously planned, if not scripted, rehearsed
conflict between "housewives" who never did a dish, who wear endless designer gowns
and magnificent jewelry, who live in mega mansions and party handsomely several nights
a week while "nanny" watches the children. Some are broke, we now learn, but the
show goes on. And Andy revels in telling them he loves their contorted, fake facial expressions and wine drinking habits.
Sounds like everyday life to me, how about you?
