'Fear Factor'

Stunt Gone WRONG -- The Footage

8/27/2011 7:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0826_fear_factor_accident_video
TMZ has obtained video of the massive collision that took place on the set of "Fear Factor" recently -- sending one contestant to the hospital -- but it could have been a lot worse ... if the ambulance hadn't arrived in record time.

As we previously reported, one of the contestants on the show was strapped to a truck for some stunt -- but something got in the driver's eyes ... and he plowed into another car.

Thankfully the guy was going less than 20mph at the time -- and the ambulance arrived LESS THAN A MINUTE after the accident.

The contestant was taken to the hospital -- and was released hours later with no serious injuries.

This is like the third or fourth incident while shooting Fear Factor!! If you survive the shooting of Fear Factor, you've conquered the biggest fear.

That disaster reminds me of a Seth Rogen movie.

Sure the ambulance got there fast... but it's freakin' Fear Factor... they probably have one on site. With that in mind it is actually pretty slow... it took the ambulance driver that long to realize he was needed.

How the hell could it have been a lot worse if the ambulance hadn't arrived in record time?? How serious could the injuries have gotten in a matter of minutes when the contestant ended up being released a few hour later with no serious injuries. That doesn't even remotely make sense. In a matter of minutes an ankle sprain becomes fatal. Ok.

Seriously, this is the dumbest thing I've ever read. OMG, the ambulance arrived in one minute? It must be those amazing response times... OF COURSE IT ARRIVED IN ONE MINUTE, IT WAS ON THE SCENE.

You think NBC would be spending millions of dollars on a show that involved stunts and entire crews of stuntmen and not employee a couple paramedics and a ambulance while they were at it? ******* retards.

"...but it could have been a lot worse ... if the ambulance hadn't arrived in record time."

1). It was a stunt SET. The Ambulance was already THERE.
2). The 'victim' was release without injuries. How could it have been 'a lot worse' if the ambulance had arrived later.

In order to get the permits for the stunt they would have been required to have emergency medical vehicles and personnel on standby! The fact that your company covers the entertainment business and is not aware of something like this needs to be fired!

SOME MAY NOT LIKE WHAT I SAY. IT BROKE MY HEART WHEN I SAW THE PHOTO OF STEVE JOBS. BUT, AND I MEAN A BIG BUT MAY THE ANGELS SUPPORT AND WATCH OVER HIM AND THOSE WHOM LOVE HIM. MAY THEY CARRY HIM IN SOFTNESS, STRENGTH AND WARMTH WHEN READY. AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE TO COMMENT ON SOME CELEBRITY EATING A $40.00 SANDWICH, OR WALKING DOWN THE SIDEWALK OR DRIVING THEIR $100,000 CAR. I WONDER IN THE END WHO WILL BE REMEMBERED- STEVE JOBS OR SANDWICH.
