Steven Seagal

Legal Threats Over Deadly

COCKFIGHT RAID

8/30/2011 11:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The blood of a dead puppy is on Steven Seagal's hands ... this according to an Arizona man who claims the actor participated in a deadly police raid on his home back in March that was taped for a reality show.

Seagal, along with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, has been served with an official notice of claim from Jesus Sanchez Llovera -- who contends Seagal and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department performed an "unfounded" raid on his home because they believed Jesus was operating an illegal cockfighting farm.  Jesus denies the allegation -- insisting he only raises the roosters "for show."

Jesus claims Seagal arrived to his home on March 9 with a TANK -- and rammed into a gate on his property. Seagal was backed up by an MCSO Tactical Operations Unit -- armed in full riot gear -- which stormed the house. The entire incident was captured by a camera crew taping for Seagal's reality show, "Steven Seagal Lawman."

Jesus claims his 11-month old puppy was shot and killed during the raid -- and his home sustained "substantial damage." He also claims the cops killed more than 100 roosters that belonged to him.

The notice of claim is the first step towards a lawsuit -- and Jesus' lawyer tells us his client is demanding $100,000 for the damage and he wants Seagal to issue a "formal written apology" to his children "for the death of their 11-month old puppy, a beloved family pet."

We called both Seagal and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department for comment -- so far, no response.

Ok well if they didnt charge the man and they have no roosters what evidence did they have to raid his property. I am not defending this man and his fighting chickens but I am saying if they didnt arrest him and didnt take any of his property he prob has a legal leg to stand on.

Seagal is such a washed-up has been. His claim that he is a high ranking Buddhist is another falsehood that he likes to attempt to spread. I'm sure the Dalai Lama is embarrassed by his so called "affiliation" with Buddhism.

He's nothing more than a fat nothing who should be in an overeater's anonymous meeting. The fact that he killed a puppy, animal, or human being during his so called "show" is no surprise to me. He is a piece of garbage on like his 11th wife (who is coincidentally a very young Asian girl). What a fat piece of garbage this one is. I wish he would just go on food stamps and go away so we wouldn't have to see him on any form of media ever again.

Yeah, right. 'Show roosters'. Place your bets. If loose, pay up. Nothing new.

Have any of you ever slaughtered and cleaned a chicken? I have and their brain is smaller than a pea that is used to make split pea soup.
Just enough brain matter to make the eyes open and close and allow them to eat.

Raising over 100 roosters, "for show"! Ha! Ha!
Even the "little puppy" story sounds made up.
$100,000 dollars for the alleged "substantial damage" to his home, as well. Hmmm!
When will people like Jesus stop looking at celebs as "cash cows"? Probably as long as the love of money is a human condition.

Seagal and his wife are big time animal lovers.he would be the last one to hurt a dog.Plus there was a hole bunch of media there that moring and no one hurt any gun shots.Phoenix police raided Llovera's home in February after a Llovera employee, David Morales, alleged that Llovera, 42, had held him hostage for three days over a drug debt.

Morales later disappeared, and leads evaporated in the kidnapping case. But during the February raid, detectives said they had also seen evidence of potential animal crimes.

Correction to last sentence: "Probably NOT as long as the love of money is a human condition!"

okay yeah, I am not in favor of any form of animal abuse, but I think maybe Steven Seagal was far more interested in being a showboat than the welfare of those animals. A tank? Really? And they killed all the birds and a puppy?
Charming show of police brutality there, Stevie.

Oh my God you killed a puppy for a bunch of chickens?!? Chickens are dinner! You don't kill puppies to save (allegedly) dinner! See, now I kind of thought Segal was mildly amusing but he went and killed a puppy so screw him.
