Chaz Bono -- Too Hot for TV?

I think the controversy exists because of one factor, DWTS is advertised as a family show. Its during primetime, it's been mainly free of controversial issues, and it's been fun. Now, they will add in a character who is only famous for being transgendered. This means that there will be talk about it (which there already is) and controversy (again, already there). That brings issues into a family home that are unwanted. I don't want my children to have to deal with alternative lifestyles, and sexual controversy, even sex. They should be allowed to be children. So, I'm done with DWTS as are many Americans. That is the controversy surrounding Chaz.

Why would she/he/it want to go from a cute little girl to a fat,ugly, disgusting hulk?

If ABC is guilty of cheap pandering, Harvey is jealous because ABC is encroaching on his territory. Harvey Levin is the Queen of cheap pandering and Tastelessness. Harvey Levin capitalizes on the death of a two year old child. And he makes monetary donations to the killer of that child - her mom. Harvey Levin has no class, Harvey Levin has no soul, Harvey Levin is pond s***.

Gender aside, the producers of DWTS seem to be overlooking some obvious problems with Chaz's upcoming appearance. One, the weight issue. Chaz is WAY too overweight to be in serious dancing competition and could seriously risk having a heart attack. Two, as others have mentioned, what on earth has Chaz done to be starworthy, other than being a child of a famous star? So, it seems that DWTS has lowered their standards by not taking liability into account as far as the weight issue, and by throwing out the baby with the bathwater on the "star qualifications".

I don't see the problem with Chaz being on the show or that he will be dancing with a woman. Would people rather that he dance with a man??? If you don't like it then simply don'*****ch the show...it's that easy.

His obesity is more alarming than his sexuality.

"Chaz is a good role model" As far as I know, he has never been arrested, never took drugs and drove down the wrong side of the road, never made a sex tape, never stole necklaces from any jewelry store, or never punched a woman in the face. Ummm sounds like a better role model then most of Hollywood to me.

1. Not a star by any stretch of the imagination and 2. Some interview he said he wanted to live a private life. equals a hypocrite. DWTS said they wanted A and B list stars , this whole line up is DISAPPOINTING

The gay agenda in this country sickens me. Be gay, but stop shoving it down our throats. This country was founded on Christian principles which is a man and a woman and marriage the old fashioned way. If you want to be something else you have the right but it's not normal nor does God approve per the bible people.

Transgendered people are human beings and they have civil rights too. They can go on TV and work like everybody else.

1- who claims Chaz as a 'Star'??? He's daughter/son of Cher & Sonny Bono (RIP), that's it.. NO marketable talent whatsoever, besides swapping genitals.
2- I have NEVER watched DWTS!! and after this crappy desperate grasp to boost ratings through 'shocking' media hype casting assures I will NEVER watch DWTS til the day I die!! haha

She didn't swap genitals, she is still the same from the waist down as she was born. That was made perfectly clear in her interviews.

This is indeed a MENTAL Health Issue..ITS sad and must be a nightmare 4 Cher..Chastity has made herself a very unattractive person..If she -he were truly happy or at peace with her -His new decision, He- she would not be 350 pounds and trying for all this attention on dwts..She is crying out for attention and OK s, love and atta boys..I do not believe anything will work 4 Chas, sadly He is beyond

I agree with so many others on here. Since when is SHE a star??? Doesn't really matter if Chaz is petend male or female...this show is titled Dancing With the STARS!
